Romney and his fellow traveler RINOs need to understand that we despise them for allowing us to be put through this hoax, which we could all see through. Delecto should have supported dismissing it at the door of the Senate.

He should have supported empowering the SJC to all witnesses and hold public hearings - you know, the whistleblower, Schiff and Nadler, etc.

Doing all of that was a no-brainer.

The people of Utah gave us Romney. It was well known then he was running simply as a foil to Trump. They could have put any decent Republican in there the state is a cakewalk for GOP. But they went with their religion instead of common sense.

But at this lunch on Thursday, Sen. Mitt Romney (Utah) was getting visibly annoyed.

This is visibly annoyed.

The Marcellus solution would visibly annoy mittens.

"And it wouldn’t matter whether they called witnesses or not...the democrats got what they ultimately wanted...election year talking points"

BUT, what's really cool is, it's NOT going to help them any. Go MAGA! Go KAG!

“It has just been a lot harder over the last two weeks to have conversations with Republican friends,” said Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.). “The mood in that room is super tense and super heavy.”

Do tell.

Somehow the compost fails to mention that the Rats failed to call these witness when they had the chance.

All about Mittens... He's been calling for Bolton to testify since before the articles were handed over. I can just see Mitten's plan - damage Trump and ride in to 'save' the GOP from a 'election disaster.'

Thank you for beating me to it. While I can't swear on a stack of bibles that this is 100% the way it worked, that's basically my understanding, too.

I cheated and heard it on the Dan Bongino podcast on Friday.

That’s ‘must listen’ for me. Dan tries very hard to get it right.

Mitt Romney must be one very lonely dude these days when he reflects upon the fact that he has absolutely no reason to vote differently than his other 52 Republican Senators.

At least Susan Collins can claim that see needs to appease the radicals back in Maine in order to be re-elected as a Senator from Maine.

There were no witnesses in the Bubba trial. The did a series of depositions and furnished them to the Senate.

I'm going to go back and look. I think they were done before the trial actually began so would be part of the impeachment documents if that were the case.

They never did give a subpoena to Bolton...but to his aid Kupperman...and the Dems withdrew that when Kupperman took it to court. AND it was withdrawn without penalty.
