With the 51 to 49 vote not to call witnesses, the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump is on track to an acquittal. And so the Trump impeachment saga is coming to an end not with a bang but a whine. “We wuz robbed!” shriek the foot-stomping Democrats as they repeat their poll-tested mantra that the trial was rigged because no witnesses were called to testify. Consequently, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has decreed that the president will remain impeached forever, and his presidency and all that flows from it will be deemed unclean and illegitimate.

As Trump’s lawyers calmly and without breaking a sweat dissected the House Managers’ embarrassingly fatuous case, Rep. Maxine Waters (D -Calif.), another Democrat Mensa candidate, raised the possibility of impeaching Trump again. We should be so lucky. This first impeachment has energized to the point of frenzy Trump’s already enthusiastic political base and driven his approval ratings and campaign fundraising to new heights. With luck and a little hard work, maybe the House Democrats can squeeze in a couple more half-baked impeachments between now and Election Day. If the acquittal isn’t recognized because it was “unfair”, then the impeachment shouldn’t be recognized because it was unfair, Nancy.
More than likely they will. Probably first with the tax records then some other BS. Too stupid to quit they are. Shamefully they are wasting our money and everyone’s time, but they don’t care
The dems have already announced that their “investigation” into Trump’s taxes, business operations, etc., will continue. I’m sure that they’ll come up with another “Russia-gate III”. Look for other articles of impeachment to arrive in the senate as an October Surprise. If the dems retain their power in the house we can count on seeing an impeachment every year.
Rhetorical question:
If, according to the ‘rats, witnesses and depositions being so necessary in the Senate, now without them, how can they vote to convict?
I might have to watch the State of the Union speech.

I think the RATs were pushing for witnesses so ardently was because they had a trap all set. Some lying stooge with something so terrible they hoped it would change the President’s support among his base. I predict we will still hear from this stooge but not until October. This ploy always needs to be at the last moment. Once you get a grasp of the true facts it evaporates (unless they had something real, which so far they have not).
What Mueller did is based on the same method as what the Dems did to reach impeachment charges.
Dems are not finished. As soon as the vote is in to acquit, we will see crazies out in the streets yelling, throwing things, and breaking things.
They are going to show the true extent of their mental illness. There will be claims from 30 years ago. There will be more hysterical individuals demonstrating their unbalanced mental state.
And I will be laughing at them!
Get prepared for the next crisis: An “impeached” president is not allowed to nominate justices to the USSC. Of course completely untrue, but the Democrat/Left Party, obama-bent on destroying the Constitution and implementing a socialist government will scream it to high-heaven ... but this time I don’t even the Democrat/Left’s whacked-out base will be hopeful ... instead, they will suffer through 2024 (I surely hope so!)

I no longer believe our Republic can survive — for the simple reason that one side now refuses to play by any rules except the ones it makes up as it goes along.
The RATs behave like spoiled children making up new rules in a playground game of dodgeball.
I believe Pres. Trump, in his second term, will be forced to employ extra-Constitutional means to remove the cancer that the RAT party has become.
This will almost certainly involve the use of force.
The question will then be — how much force, and how efficiently employed?
I can see the need for a decapitation strike against the RAT leadership, in which the ringleaders — Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, Schumer, and the rest — are arrested by US marshals and flown to a place of exile, preferably Gitmo, to face military tribunals.

Nancy says that President Trump will be impeached forever. Well, she will be stupid forever.
BTW, isn’t impeached equivalent to be charged? And only the conviction matters? If so, it should be referred to as alleged abuse of power and alleged obstruction of Congress. Both resulting in acquittal.
