But perhaps President Trump’s greatest advantage is the utter arrogance of establishment elites like Rick Wilson. When “Never Trump” zealots routinely demean millions of Americans as “rubes” (or “deplorables”), Trump voters become incensed and ready for battle. Criticizing the millions of Americans who support the president sends a message to the American heartland: that your views and values don’t matter. Attacking their president comes down to attacking them and their beliefs.
Just like in 2016, President Trump’s supporters see a president who is facing unprecedented attacks from the Washington establishment: Democrats, faux-Republicans, and the liberal media. Those establishment figures can’t help but express their disdain for their fellow countrymen — the “rubes” outside the Beltway. Every time they do, it’s a win for President Trump.
The “rubes” will rise up in 2020. “Rubes” like me will reward a president who is committed to economic growth and border security. “Promises made, promises kept” is not just a campaign slogan, but a roadmap to continued prosperity, with better jobs, higher wages, secure borders, improved education, and a stronger and more appreciated military. But, most of all, it is a roadmap for the next generation to continue leading the world.
The losers may be uniting, but neither President Trump nor Great America PAC are tired of winning. And we will win again in 2020 — because the country and the world need our agenda.

Rick Wilson is closer to being a garden gnome than he is to being an “elite”.
I’ve never cared for the use of the term Rube. I took it as an abbreviation of the name Ruben. It seemed to me it was used in a derogatory manner, and was somewhat of an anti-simetic term.
When I look it up, they refernce it as a term used for a country bumpkin, a person who isn’t though to be too smart.
The way the media plays these things off, I’m not entirely convinced by the people explaining away the use of the term.
Some of them actually mention the word Ruben in their explanations, but that’s as far as it goes.
You won’t catch me using the term. I think there’s more behind it than they want to admit.

Roger Stone spends time in various books trashing Rollins. He says Rollins is a disloyal showboat. Like you, I remember him as a Gipper loyalist who switched to Ross Perot a few years later. One thing I know about him, he is very good at knowing the direction the wind is blowing.
He’s addressing the elites, the Leftists, the NeverTrumprs, and their propensity to trash Trump supporters, and dismiss them as too stupid to realize what Trump really is. They describe them as too stupid to read or do math.
I agree with him that Trump’s supporters are not stupid. I guess I have a little bias there, I’m not alone. Many of these people study what our founding goals were as a nation, and the prosperity adhering to those goals and principles have given us.
We’re not about to let Trump’s enemies define him. We are not about to abandon him. And the more the Leftists attack, the more absurd they look, bolstering not only our support, but winning converts for Trump without us lifting a finger.
The whole Walk Away Movement sprang from people getting sick and tired of the Leftists trashing decent ideals. We haven’t had to go out and convert Blacks, Hispanics, or others. Those folks are flocking to us, and I’m very happy to see it.
I’ve waited my whole lifetime to see Blacks wake up to being used, and realize I and other Whites have absolutely nothing against them. In truth, it makes me happy as can be to know that many blacks are doing a lot better these days. Poverty has dropped considerably. Unemployment has. The use of food stamps in the inner cities is dropping.
Blacks, Hispanics, Whites, we have a right to believe in the same things. We all want a better future for our loved ones. Trump has set in place policies that are helping us all to realize that.
Rollins is right. The Left has a real day of reckoning coming.
Happy days will be here again, or more accurately, they’ll continue on as they should.
Time to start thinking 2024. Smile...
I remember him kind of getting off track a decade or so ago.
For a while there it was pretty dicey.

Yes. And he is a very strong, loyal Trump supporter.
Americans know instinctively that there is something wrong with the establishment. Americans also see their liberty slipping away, their desires ignored and their country declining. So Americans picked an SOB that was as mad as they were.
That's because we only had 49 states way back in 1984!
