Republicans in the Senate secured enough votes Friday evening to reject Democratic efforts to extend the Trump impeachment trial and call new witnesses, as the final vote on whether or not to remove President Trump from office could drag into next week.

So?
Tuesday morning would be best.
100 percent concur!
I don’t know what still needs to be done.
Every Republican except Romney and Collins voted no. Every democrat voted yes. Simple.
I can’t say as I like either one.
She has been a thorn in our sides for a long long time.
Iowa caucuses are Monday.
Why waste good spit?
Mitch was able to get the votes to shut down new witnesses.
I salute him for pulling it off.
One more vote, and it was a tie. He pretty much held the line.
Agreed...
The State of the Union Address will be one for the ages, I imagine.
Now the media has all weekend to continuously stir the hornets nest and influence the Senate to change its mind.
There will be more action tomorrow or not?
Here are a few suggestions for witnesses should the GOP senators change their minds:
Witness(es): Owner(s) and manager of the Standard Hotel in Hollywood Californicatia.
Question:
What if any relationship, business or otherwise, has there ever been between the Standard Hotel and Adam Schiff (the little bug-eyed, Pencil-neck pervert seated first on the left with the house managers)?
==============================================
Witness(es):
Standard Hotel employees involved in pouring acid down rooftop drains
Question:
WTF were you doing pouring acid down rooftop drains? What was that acid being used for?
==============================================
Witness(es):
Subway passengers hospitalized by acid disposal
Question:
Would any of you be willing to serve as hangman for the little pencil-neck, bug-eyed pervert first on left at the table with other house managers?
==============================================
Witness(es):
Next of kin for people killed in Schiff-related helicopter crash at Standard Hotel
Question:
What if anything have you been told or managed to learn about that fatal helicopter crash? Who/what was involved?
==============================================
Witness(es):
Ed Buck
Question:
What if anything can you tell us about activities involving the Standard Hotel and/or the nearby Chateau Marmont and involving the little pencil-neck bug-eyed pervert seated first on left.....
============================================== Witness(es):
Ghislane Maxwell
Question:
What if anything can you tell us about activities involving the Standard Hotel and/or the nearby Chateau Marmont and involving the little pencil-neck bug-eyed pervert seated first on left..... ...particularly anything also involving Jeffrey Epstein?
+100!!
Nothing NEEDS to be done now, except for the final vote
Dems know that, and know they’re lost their crucial witness vote, so they’re still determined to drag it out and give Trump a bloody nose
So they’ll refuse to cooperate unless every Senator gets to make a 10-minute speech - which every Dem will then use to smear the upcoming acquittal and talk about a “cover-up” (oh, and Big Media’s prime-time Senate coverage will make a mysterious reappearance, after being absent during the Defense Team’s presentations).
Get ready to hear the word “cover-up” 24-7 for the next while
YES she has been a thorn in our side for FAR TO LONG A TIME, I am praying that there are enough SILENT Trump supporters in her state to RID us of this bitch, we have until March 16 to get a primary candidate against her!!!
+1000!!!
Look at is as trading a little spit for a high level of personal satisfaction. . . .
Is it too late to get a good pro Trump primary candidate to run against Collins? I have to believe that a lot of voters in ME who would normally not bother will turn out this time
