A grey-haired man wearing a face mask lies dead on the pavement at ground zero of China's virus epidemic, a plastic shopping bag in one hand...there are only a few passersby and they dare not go near him...A woman standing near the man...said she believed he had died from the virus. "It's terrible," she said. "These days many people have died."...In the two hours that AFP observed the scene, at least 15 ambulances passed by, attending other calls. Finally, a white van with blacked-out windows arrived to take away the man. The body was zipped into a yellow surgical bag, and carried into the van on a stretcher. Staff immediately began to clean the ground as the van drove away, disinfecting the streets where the body had lain.

First, there’s the 3rd world sanitation issue (as you see in LA and San Francisco). Second, look at human waste disposal in these ‘camps’. Third, look at attention and care by the county health department (zero value in their mind). Look at the close quarters (same type conditions in WW I boot-camps that helped to spread the Spanish Flu).
Once you put a single Coronavirus ‘victim’ into a camp....he’ll infect a dozen over the next week, and the entire camp within a month. Do you really think that the county health departments will grasp this early on, and stage some kind of intervention?

Stock up enough and you won’t have to repurchase them for a year or more...as they sit in a closet gathering dust...

I dont know, we have some rather crowded filthy cess-pool cities like San Francisco, which are really no better than these places in China. Pretty much anywhere with large illegal immigrant populations, they are filthy areas ripe for infectious disease.
Yes, it could spread like wildfire among the San Francisco street people. But, it has to get here first. How many San Fran homeless have just returned from Wuhan?

How many people have you been within six feet of today?
And how many of them have been within six feet of someone who walked down a street near a homeless guy?
Thats all it takes.

Asian people leave shoes at door and have been wearing masks for years. The virus is right now spreading through the world like wildfire. This is the point in time when we are all most vulnerable. Just before donning the masks, gloves and goggles and self quarantining. IMHO.
Before you self quarantine, the coronavirus has a death rate of 2%, and the flu has a death rate of 5%. I am not downplaying the danger, but it is being over hyped. Not that the media would do that.....

My worry is if this thing hits India. Me too. Sen Mike Lee (Traitor - UT) will then doubtless *demand* that the US import the remaining population of India into red states as a humanitarian gesture.

Actually, yeah, it can. Unlike a typical coronavirus, this one leaves its victim infectious PRIOR to showing symptoms.
That’s a very serious problem. As with the tour bus driver in Japan who was infected; none of the tourists were showing signs when he came into contact with them.
Now think of all the people he came into contact with prior to showing symptoms, or how many people the original infected tourist(s) came into contact with.
To me, it’s a miracle that Japan didn’t explode with cases from just this incident alone.
The silver lining, so far, is that while the virus is passed by close contact, it seems to have a low infection rate.

That is the difference of being possible to get it, and being likely to get it. Big difference.

There is good news that the flu has a 5% death rate, and the corona virus has only a 2% death rate. Still, I don't want to get it.

Did you ever try to walk or drive through Brooklyn, New York at 8 am on a weekday! Wall to wall people...four million of them crammed into a space smaller than Lycoming County in Pa.

Brooklyn has only 70 sq. miles of land space.
It is the third most populous county in the USA!
They should start wearing masks ASAP!

Still, not as bad as San Francisco.

The media, twitter, just shut down ZeroHedge over this. Apparently they were spreading false rumor.
