Some forum experts believe that since the flu/heart disease/automobile crashes kill more people than coronavirus, the threat is way overblown. So, what me worry?

Australia, Vietnam and South Korea all announced new coronavirus infections, while India and the Philippines had their first ones.

The Chinese government must be telling the truth behind closed doors in secret diplomatic channels. The spread of this appears to be faster than what would seem natural. They may have screwed up and let something get loose in Wuhan and now everybody on earth is at risk. Biblical? Maybe......................

Can’t really assume that - there is historical precedent of earlier afflictions that actually spread faster. For example, it is thought that the 1918 Spanish Flu had at least three variants, one of which may have been contagious through simple contact within a day of infection or less.

Not saying someone’s pet project didn’t get loose in Wuhan, but to assume that’s what it was is to blind yourself to other possibilities. Several non-Chinese labs have looked at the current version of the thing and they’ve announced (and demonstrated) that it doesn’t look engineered.

A lot slower spread than the flu virus. An easy to spread virus means 100k or a million infected over 6-8 weeks. That's not reflected in current numbers. So it's not easy to spread, or most cases are mild and unreported.

Worry if you want, it accomplishes nothing.

This is obviously Trump’s fault.

He could have prevented this if he wanted to.

Yet another impeachable offense.

Not worried, I’m simply laughing at oafs who think they know it all.
