The Netflix sitcom The Ranch was once called a “conservative” sitcom, but as it ends its run this month, the series has veered left with an anti-gun message among other virtue signaling fare.
When it debuted in 2016, the streaming sitcom starring Ashton Kutcher and Sam Elliott brought reviewers to note that swipes at Barack Obama, support for guns and hunting, love of tractors and cars, and criticism of global warming, made it more conservative than most TV shows.
“Me. I’m sick of it. I’m sick of people saying they need an assault weapon to defend themselves, and I’m sick of turning on the TV and seeing another mass shooting. Beau, why aren’t you f**king sick of it?” Winger’s Maggie replies.

Eventually the writers couldn't help themselves - the bad guys turned out to be the Far-Right zealots that brought nuclear devastation upon America so they could get back in the driver's seat, dontcha know.

Debra Winger’s character always seemed the wild card in the show. Surprised they brought her back as both Maggie and Beau seemed to have moved on.

The show has sucked ever since the Me-to bunch got Danny Masterson fired. It was pretty obvious the writers wanted to get their liberal digs in to the conservative audience with the gun control and LGBT topics. Sam Elliot was probably under contract to play along.
Trying to atone for the doofus actor/sex criminal they dumped in the MeToo spasms. Doesn’t matter; I found it boring after about the second episode of the first season. Sam Elliott should show a little dignity and leave, but he’s already squandered any goodwill he scored in his career with decent roles.
Don’t forget, this is the same chick who infected the once conservative mind of bob kerrey, the former Navy SEAL who received the MoH.

Son and wife enjoyed this series. Not sure if they having been watching it lately. Husband and I tried to watch it with them and simply couldn’t take all the gratuitous vulgarity. And agree that the Obama’s will be controlling Netflix.......Princess Harry and Duchess Difficult have been in consideration for making documentaries for Netflix. We may just have to cancel.

That’s what a lot of shows depend on now.
Some use it sparingly and don’t rely on it constantly. They are usually leaps and bounds better for doing do.
Or feed them soy and make them into tranny coyotes.
