Donald Trump slams John Bolton claiming former national security advisor ‘begged me for a job,’ wanted to get in to ‘World War Six’ and has written ‘a nasty and untrue book’ as Republicans wrestle over calling him as a witness

Donald Trump launched a vicious attack on John Bolton Wednesday, claiming Bolton 'begged' him for a job and wanted to take the country into 'World War Six' before writing his 'nasty & untrue book.'

The president took to Twitter to throw his bombshells at his former National Security Adviser - a move that came after Republican Senate Leader Mitch McConnell warned his party he doesn't have the votes to prevent Democrats' from calling Bolton to the witness stand in Trump's impeachment trial.

'For a guy who couldn’t get approved for the Ambassador to the U.N. years ago, couldn’t get approved for anything since, “begged” me for a non Senate approved job, which I gave him despite many saying “Don’t do it, sir,” takes the job, mistakenly says “Libyan Model” on T.V., and many more mistakes of judgement, gets fired because frankly, if I listened to him, we would be in World War Six by now, and goes out and IMMEDIATELY writes a nasty & untrue book. All Classified National Security. Who would do this?,' Trump tweeted Wednesday morning.

The timing of the book ......and the gravity of the so-called leak...... profits Bolton alone.

We demand to know:
<><> when Bolton negotiated the book deal
<><> when he submitted the ms
<><> when he got the publisher’s approval
<><> when he got the advance

Here's the biggie: did Bolton include the Trump libel in the book....
or is he making it up now, to be a witness, to call attention to his book?

Libya model

https://www.stripes.com/news/pacific/what-is-the-libya-model-and-why-does-it-set-n-korea-s-hair-on-fire-1.529078

President Donald Trump called off the June 12 summit with North Korea’s leader after Pyongyang unleashed a hostile diatribe against Vice President Mike Pence for referring to the “Libya model” when discussing ways to eliminate the Communist state’s nuclear weapons.
No matter that Trump himself had already dismissed the “Libya model,” first raised last month by his hardline National Security Adviser John Bolton in television interviews. To the North Koreans, any comparison with Libya’s nuclear disarmament is a provocation.

Trump asks who would do the conniving, hateful things Bolton did?

I'm sure the Four Seasons Hotel in DC has security of Bolton and the Neocons sipping chilled Krystal and warm Brie.

All the neocons live large on their war-profiteering.

N/C Godfather Richard Perle even started his own oil company---the profits they skimmed off were that huge.

Probably the idea for the "book" was hatched at the n/c's Four Seasons interlude.

I don’t understand the problem with witnesses. The democrats could call all the witnesses they wanted in the ‘grand jury phase’. They didn’t allow adequate cross examination of their witnesses (because it was “grand jury” phase. The didn’t allow Trump to call witnesses.

I am a firm believer in due process. The charges have been levied, the investigation is on. The witness list for the prosecution should have been settled before the trial, so a defense could be planned. Now, the DEFENSE should be able to call NEW witnesses, or cross examine existing prosecution witnesses. THAT is due process and JUSTICE.

What I am saying is that Calling and Questioning NEW witnesses should only be in the privy of the defense at this point. Especially since you don’t need a unanimous vote to convict in the Senate.

He said if Bolton had stayed on and Trump listened to him we would be in WW6. That’s somewhat different than what they are reporting.

I think I can shorten Trump’s response to this paraphrase:

“Please don’t throw me into the brier patch!”

I think you answered your own question........

<><> "The democrats could call all the witnesses they wanted in the ‘grand jury phase’.
<><> They didn’t allow adequate cross examination of their witnesses (because it was “grand jury” phase).
<><> They didn’t allow Trump to call witnesses."

The Dems see their impeachment plan falling part.

Ergo, we'd better consider they have a couple aces in the hole to save themselves from political oblivion.

That could mean throwing a monkey wrench named Bolton into the Senate deliberations.

Wouldn’t think PDJT would be surprised about Bolton.

Interesting to see who ‘approved’ and disapproved’ the hiring of Bolton. (Not that it would have mattered to PDJT, am sure someone had the common sense to ‘warn’ him of Amoorasa(sp) in his ‘inner circle’)

I believe that PDJTs ‘ego and personality’ makes it very easy to sluff off ‘warnings’ over who HE feels would be a good fit.

It works in the Construction business but far too much red tape in Govt to have that attitude.

‘Bad on’ PDJT for not realizing this by now.

It is the job of the House to do the investigating and calling of witnesses. They subverted the process by not allowing all of the witnesses to be called and by not allowing Trump's lawyers to be there for full disclosure.

INHO impeachment is akin to being charged in civil or criminal court.

When the House has all the evidence for prosecution, then they send the articles of impeachment (charges) to the Senate for trial to determine if a crime has been committed.

It is not the Senate's job to dig up witnesses and evidence.

If you have any questions, go to youtube and watch Derschowitz's presentation.

It’s Omarosa. I don’t know that anyone told him to not hire her.

I did.

And got blasted by almost everyone here as a Never Trumper. I don’t mean everyone posted to me. I mean the ones that did blasted me.

I am probably not the only one here that said don’t hire her. But there weren’t many.

I watched Celebrity Apprentice. I saw the seasons she was on. I saw what she did in her personal life as it relates to Michael Clarke Duncan.

I knew what was going to happen.

And it did.

She wasn’t just playing a TV villian role...

Piers Morgan is a real piece of work..but his animosity towards Omarosa was justified.

Sounds like Trump as President has access to the manuscript and is setting forth a peremptory defense to whatever garbage Bolton put in it.This is all about the 2020 election. Republicans need to neutralize the Dems and tell them Bolton does not testify unless the Bidens and the whistleblower and Schiff testify to get a full picture. Force them to publicly defend Democrat and Biden corruption

He wouldn't get approved by the Senate for the UN job...because the Dems held the Senate. John resigned.

The President is playing the media.
