Jan 28 (Reuters) - Three more people in southern Germany have contracted the coronavirus and they are employees at the same company where a man became the first person in Germany to become infected with the virus, the Bavarian health ministry said on Tuesday.
The 33-year-old man apparently contracted the virus on Jan. 21 during a training session with a Chinese colleague, the ministry said. The three additional patients were being monitored in isolation at a clinic in Munich.
"A total of around 40 employees at the company have been identified as potential close contacts (with their Chinese colleague). As a precaution, the people concerned are to be tested on Wednesday," Bavaria's Health Minister Melanie Huml said in a statement. (Writing by Paul Carrel; Editing by Sandra Maler )

Patient 1 got the virus from a female Chinese visitor from Shanghai last week.
Patients 2, 3, & 4 got infected by patient 1.
So now the virus has been transmitted within the German population, risk is of course now to whoever they have been in contact with in the last few days.
Sounds Baden Baden...................
Come on man we all know a LOT of people are going to get it.
The unknown is the mortality rate among those who get it.
China’s numbers, low OR high, cannot be trusted.
Let’s see who lives and dies in the western countries in the next few weeks
So, by “close contact” do they mean sharing an office or sharing a bed?
That’s a small as possible sample R0 of 3... which is bad.
(R0, for those who haven’t been following this, is the mean number of people infected by someone with the disease.)
The Chinese worker flew in for training - they were in class together
Aside from their coworkers, their family, their friends, everyone at their kids’ schools and day cares, bus and train passengers they were beside and who sat in their seats, the person who bought the Charmin they squeezed and orange they sniffed, their hairdresser, the next 14 people who touched the gas pump they used, the dress shop where they tried on that cute outfit, the mailman who picked up their mail after they licked the stamps and their pets.
Remember that 70’s shampoo commercial that multiplied the pictures with “and so on and so on and so on.”
Two Wongs don’t make a white!
Three German victims who are still alive. Time to crank-up the conspiracy theories and invest in body bags.
Miami University, Ohio. They’re checking with CDC
Germany ping
Well this is one thing that Europe cannot blame on the Jews, but I am sure some will find a way.
Ping.
Almost certainly, patients 1, 2, 3 and 4 have all been out in public (besides working within their company). On public transportation, grocery shopping, out for dinner, etc. That means a virtually certainty of patients 5 - 100, and they won’t be symptomatic for nearly 2 weeks (though they’ll be spreading disease that entire time. Who knows how many of them will visit France, Austria, Switzerland, etc.
This is beginning to get out of control for a disease with 1% - 3% fatalities.
“The unknown is the mortality rate among those who get it.”
Note, however, that the Chinese government pretty much lies every time their spokespeople speak, or when they put out a written release. Their actions count...and they have taken extreme efforts to quarantine 50 million people and to build 2 hospitals in about 10 days. You simply don’t do that for a normal flu bug or the common cold. The 56-80 dead (depending on sources) so far is just another month of shooting deaths in Chicago, and China has about 4 times our population. SOMETHING is going on of which the general public has no knowledge.
What happens if 80,000 people in the US die from caronavirus this year. That would equal the number of flu related deaths in the US in 2018. Hoping this only turns out to be bad flu season year. I would assume many who might die from caronavirus are the same weaken system individuals that the flu would have normally taken.
The HUGH quarantine in China scares me.
THAT’s tells us the most.
It is remarkable how many people fly to and from China on a regular basis. I get that there are a lot of Chinese people in the world, but it is surprising to me that they shuttle back and forth so often considering how far away China is. I never heard much about Wuhan until this coronavirus started, and now I am hearing about people going back and forth from Wuhan all the time.
Its either highly infections and/or high mortality rate.
Crap
