Senate Impeachment Trial LIVE - day 7
The problem with that thought is that you're counting on the Senate to allow Trump any witnesses. I think that there would be enough rinos led my Mitt voting to disallow Trump any witnesses. Mitt will take the position that Trump called witnesses "aren't relevant".
Thank you!
This is hopeless. Hunter didn't turn Ukraine into an ATM machine, Vice President Joseph Biden did. All Hunter did was show up with a wheel barrel.
C-Span 2 is now replaying the whole day.
I think this has happened before. He tried to pull this on Laura Ingraham once, and she put him in his place.
So, there is some thinly cloaked anger that he has for the women there....
I find him to be a naïve, pompous poorly researched journalist. Always with an agenda and view point.
Did anyone notice that Fox did NOT carry the defense yesterday? Not even in the evening? I had to watch it on CNN.
With that said if I were Warren, Sanders, Kobachar and Bennet I would vote against new witnesses so that I could get back on campaign trail. I would explain my vote with it's more important to be out campaigning for a change than to be sitting in the Senate chambers with a known outcome of acquittal.
Yep, left Tucker to watch Dershowitz on you tube.
Sorry, but no way THAT’S going to happen.
I missed today’s presentation. Was there any mention of ...or the clip shown of Pelosi saying “we’ve been working on impeachment for two years”?
Did they play the “we’re going to impeach the MF” clip or show the Post headline from Jan 20, 2017 “Impeachment starts today”?
No, no, and no. :)
Man, that is sure true in spades. They encouraged and enabled it every opportunity. At this point they are in "sweep it under the rug" mode, while they pat each other on the back "Thank you for your generous and thoughtful service to the people."
Oh well. We're human, ruled by failed people, just like all the rest of humanity. I'm glad to have lived through a relatively peaceful and prosperous time/place. Won't always be like that.
I think they wanted to contrast the rambling bambling of the democrats.
They knew the senators were tired, so they kept it short and sweet.
No, I think it was just fine. Prefect in fact.
Highlight was when Dershowitz turned to the managers and told them that they picked the wrong reasons to impeach.
No but they played the clubs of Nadler, Zoe and Schumer from 20 years ago.
How do four democRAT Senators, running for President, get to vote on impeaching/removing their opponent? Is that not election interference?
Yep, nothing beats a good scolding of the two year olds.
Grahamnesty is protecting McNuts, who got all of this sh*t started!
That's when Elizabeth Warren turned to Galloway and said "I don't understand... Colonel Jessup said he ordered the Code Red."
Hey....there was a new President in Ukraine....and it was a HUGE change from Poroshenko. So wouldn’t surprise me if he originally suggested the hold...until at least after the election.
I've been asking the same question for days. Allowing those senators to stand in judgement of their electoral opponent is, at the very least, a huge conflict of interest.
The Republicans should have demanded that they recuse themselves from the proceedings before the process even began.
The Dims have been ready with Bolton since the day after they voted in lock step to impeach the President. They've been waiting for the right time to spring it.
