What are they teaching in New York City preschools? At one taxpayer-funded Brooklyn nursery, it isn’t numbers, letters or nap time — but racism and victimhood, plus transgender and “queer’’ rights, with a heavy dose of political indoctrination in the mix.
“I was kind of horrified,’’ the father of a preschooler told me. “They say they’re trying to reduce racism and discrimination. To me, they’re perpetuating it, fomenting a sense of victimhood that 4-year-olds would never consider on their own.’’
In an e-mail to parents and caregivers on Jan. 16, teacher Rosy Clark lays out lessons based on the Black Lives Matter Week of Action for a pre-kindergarten class at PS 58, located in well-regarded District 15 in Carroll Gardens.
“This year, the week is Feb. 3-7. We are starting to talk about these ideas now, as we approach Martin Luther King Jr. Day [which was Jan. 20], and as we prepare to go into February, Black History Month,’’ teacher Clark, who is white, writes. The student population is also mainly Caucasian.
“I am lucky enough to work at this wonderful school where we strive to help our students understand the complex world around them and think critically about how they can participate in improving it. One of the ways I do that in my classroom is by exploring the 13 Principles of the Movement for Black Lives.’’

Then there’s Principle No. 6: “Transgender Affirming,’’ Clark writes. “Everybody has the right to choose their own gender by listening to their own heart and mind. Everyone gets to choose if they are a boy or a girl or both or neither or something else, and no one gets to choose for them.”

Emotionally imprint kids at 2-5, years before they can articulate their official beliefs or even be exposed to sexual morality and topics by most faiths. You win, because you got there first.

Unquestionably, one of the greatest triumphs of Satan in our nation is to convince people that both public education (which more truthfully is phrased as government indoctrination), is okay.
tragically, private schools, especially so-called Catholic schools are no better.
It usually comes down to careerism versus training your child in the right paths of holiness. Most convinced themselves that the income is more important than spiritual formation and thus generations are lost. The fruits of this indoctrinating educational system are currently being seen by the plethora of politicians who pretend to be intellectuals and are trying to impeach president. Logic and critical thinking were yanked from our educational core curriculum decades ago.
On other words, child abuse.
We homeschooled through high school. All members of the household now have at least a bachelor’s degree or more advanced, some much more. So we know about both sides.
Everyone “knows” that public school is not ideal, but they still send children. The problem is that they think they know, they don’t actually know. It’s like the making of sausage. If you actually see how it’s made, you would not eat it. If you actually were in the schools day after day for a while to see what actually goes on, you would not be able to send your children.
That’s well said. It’s kind of like signing the Obama Care before you read it. Send your kids to public school before you actually know what goes on behind their darkened doors.

The State Assembly is peopled by people just as bad and twice as stupid (re their recently passed law allowing virtually all criminals to just walk right out of the police station without serving a minute of time or paying a dime of bail, then cajoled to return for their trial), so we can’t expect too much help from them. This is a snowflake/victim factory, not a school. It is really frightening to hear this sick racist queer-promoting agenda this idiot libtard teacher is foisting upon these innocent victims-—I mean, students.

I don’t think there are many Americans in the NYC public school system; there aren’t many Americans left in the city. Like all sh!thole districts, they just become social experiment labs - learning isn’t even in the picture anymore.
This became very clear when the “elite” schools (populated by many of the Asian residents) were deemed racist and had to be broken up; too much learning going on...
Public schools in NYC are majority minority, but that is true of every single city in Hudson County (where we both live) as well.
Kearny is very Hispanic, and more so with each passing day; city-data has us at 46% Hispanic and 42% white as of 2017, and the former is higher now, the latter lower (along with 5% Asians). I suspect the same trend is occurring in NYC, though it still attracts Eastern European immigrants. NYC does have a higher percentage of whites, though the raw numbers of non-whites is huge.
