1:19 On Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “The Story,” Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) stated that if the Senate agrees to hear additional witnesses and grant the subpoenas that Democrats have asked for, then the Senate’s impeachment trial will end up lasting “through April or May.”
Kennedy said, “If we make the decision to hear from more witnesses and to grant the subpoenas that our Democratic friends are asking for, I think we’ll be here through April or May.”
He continued, “I’ve seen the articles that you might be referencing, Martha, that there’s been a change in momentum. I haven’t — I don’t sense it. I still think, that, it could change, but based on what I’ve seen so far, that the vast, vast majority of my colleagues…Republicans, will decide that we’ve heard enough.”

I think too many GOP Senators are vulnerable to the same allegations of corruption - Mutual Assured Destruction remains the rule in DC. Many Senators on both sides would like Trump gone if they could manage it without damage to themselves. I don't think Jeff Flake was lying about the secret ballot vote count. As they come to realize that Trump cannot be safely removed by allegations from the likes of Schiff and Nadler, the corrupt Senators will prefer to acquit Trump at this time and make the House start over with a better case.
If this happens than the Dems lose.
Bernie, Warren, and Klobuchar get no time on the trail and Biden wins Super Tuesday.
Then Biden spits his teeth out on the debate versus Trump.
I see no purpose in these debates. The anti-Trump bias of the media is just too well known.

I think that before witnesses are called, these wobbly Republicans should go before the Senate and explain why all the arguments made by the Trump defense lawyers are wrong.
I seem to recall that when the Senate is conducting the impeachment, no other business can be conducted.
If true, then this alone is the reason there wont be any witnesses. Mitch wont stand down the Senate for 3-6 months and the senators wont stand for it either.
This could be the end of the Republican party, at least for me.
Almost 60% of the people who attended that rally were NOT registered Republicans.
What Romney and his Beltway GOP backers don't realize is that those Trump supporters probably despise @ssholes like Mitt Romney and John Bolton even more than they despise Democrats.

Our side can’t govern without supermajorities. Give the Democrats a slim majority in one half of one branch of government and they run the whole show. Is there any question why the GOP is call the stupid party?
