KV: So you graduated from Drury with a degree in History, youre a history guy. If you could have dinner with three historical figures, living or dead, who would they be? And Im ruling out football figures.
MB: This is probably not going to get a good review, but Im going to say Adolf Hitler. It was obviously very sad and he had bad motives, but the way he was able to lead was second-to-none. How he rallied a group and a following, I want to know how he did that. Bad intentions of course, but you cant deny he wasnt a great leader.

My mom has an extensive library. It is essential to “know your enemy”.
None of this standing around waiting on a train.
Back in the day, I always had an interest in Kadafy (choose your spelling)(and assuming I got a translator in the deal). Doesn’t mean I like him, but interested in what makes a guy like that tick. I think it would be way more interesting than meeting some random US Senator.
RTFA!
You should put advising comm3nts on this thread.
LOL
Mussolini -- How'd you get the trains to run on time?
Castro -- I understand you had a pretty good curve ball back in the day. Why'd you give up baseball for politics?
Jim Jones got a lot of people to follow him also....
...McCoy confirms Gill (one of Captain Kirk's history professors at Starfleet Academy) is heavily drugged. He administers a counteractive stimulant while Spock uses a Vulcan mind meld on Gill, which confirms that Melakon was responsible for Gill's condition. Barely coherent, Gill explains that he initially imposed a form of Nazism/Fascism upon the lawless Ekosians because he believed it to be the most efficient system of government ever devised. The system worked on Ekos until Melakon gained control and twisted it into a tool to wipe out Zeon.Fools are fools and dupes are dupes.
Wow. This guy is even TOO DUMB to be an “assistant football coach”.
It’s impressive to me that I wasn’t the only one who thought of Star Trek.
During WWII the OSS commissioned a psychological profile of Hitler by Walter Langer. It was later declassified and published in 1972 as, "The Mind of Adolf Hitler." It does make for some interesting reading if you can find a copy.
Or that particular episode also.
“Theres just no good way to put a positive spin on Hitler.”
Actually Star Trek (TOS) did. When they beamed down to a planet inspired by Nazis Germany, I think it was Spock (maybe Kirk), that spoke with some admiration on the accomplishments of Nazis Germany. Obviously not about the atrocities, but the industrial advancements.
“Who wants to have dinner with a vegetarian?”
LOL
I love to start fights with my in-laws about this Monster-
1. he became a vegetarian
2.A painter
3. not a Christian
4. loved animals -but hated certain “humans”
5. was a Socialist and a Nationalist
6. book author
BUT the Reason he was a Great guy - he murdered ONLY about
12million—
Stalin 35 million
Mao- 50 million
All tongue in cheek to my inlaws (some are rabid socialist/communists)
In-laws just fume.... I wonder out loud ... would Bernie pick him as a running mate ??
But Sarcasm to them is wasted....liberals do not get it?
Yeah - facts are still facts.
Hitler turned Germany from a practically third world destitute nation into a first world economic powerhouse in just over a decade (basically the opposite of Hugo Chavez)
Of course America used to be a bastion of open thought and free speech too. (Which was why Patterns of Force could be made)
Before the cancel culture and the woke. Before the dark times. (Of course Ill point out that these cancel culture tactics are Hiterlian as well...)
I read Mein Kampf for historical purposes and have a copy as well. Its not in a prominent position in my study though. I also have a copy of the Communist Manifesto. I wouldnt dare been seen in public with it because it would draw so many new democrat friends.
