KV: So you graduated from Drury with a degree in History, youre a history guy. If you could have dinner with three historical figures, living or dead, who would they be? And Im ruling out football figures.
MB: This is probably not going to get a good review, but Im going to say Adolf Hitler. It was obviously very sad and he had bad motives, but the way he was able to lead was second-to-none. How he rallied a group and a following, I want to know how he did that. Bad intentions of course, but you cant deny he wasnt a great leader.

Oh Boy.
There’s just no good way to put a positive spin on Hitler.
“And he was a painter. Boy, was he a painter - two full coats!”
Sounds like a Rashida Tlaib voter.
In this environment, FUBAR. His premise was interesting (yet cringy and distasteful) but it jumped the median and went head first into a carbon neutral bus carrying snowflakes. lol.
And it’s International Holocaust Remembrance Day .
If I could see into the minds of major political leaders of the past, Hitler would be one of them. So would Lenin, Churchill, Lincoln, Andrew Jackson, Rasputin, Marie Antinette, and a host of others.
But it’s a bad look to lead with Hiter, and without LOTS of prefatory disclaimers. He only had a few.
It was obviously very sad and he had bad motives.... I suppose it would have not been very sad to gas 6 million Jews if he would have had good motives.
He needs to be fired because he is stupid. His logic defies reasoning.
Sure there is!
Load the old boy into a plane equipped with drone controls, take it through a gut churning acrobatic routine, put it into a spin and dive it into an open cesspool.
Ask him if he has ever heard of Auschwitz.
I have a copy of Mein Kampf on my bookshelf. When people have scanned my books I have seen some people physically recoil when they come to it. The programming runs deep, it’s pavlovian. It has nothing to do with what he said or the merits of his point. He uttered the unutterable, and he shall be canceled.
Idiot got it right despite himself.
I just want to ask him, Any truth to the one ball thing, Adie ol son?
Who wants to have dinner with a vegetarian?
I always liked their leather coats.
German? Jewish?
Either way, there's a story there.
Too stupid to play, anywhere.
I suppose you could say he was a spellbinding speaker, but his style would never work on a 2020 audience.
Of course, there is that thing about being one of the most infamous mass murderers in history.
So many historical figures come to mind for a hypothetical dinner. Washington and Lincoln, for sure. Napoleon, Alexander the Great, Caesar. Martin Luther. How about Jesus?
But Hitler? This guy is a few panzers short of an army.
The world would have been far better if Hitler had been a GOOD painter.
