Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Monday that he is interested in subpoenaing John Bolton's manuscript for his upcoming book in which the former national security adviser reportedly claims President Trump linked Ukrainian aid to the investigations of Democrats in an August 2019 discussion.
"I want to know what's in the manuscript," Graham said. "Yeah, I think thats important."
Graham said Bolton's claims are "probably" not going to "change" his view of Trump's innocence, "but Ill determine whether or not its relevant.'
Asked if he trusts Bolton, Graham said, "I dont know if I trust anybody right now."
"He may be a relevant witness, but Ive also said I want to comply with reasonable requests by the president about the Bidens and their involvement with Burisma," he said, adding, "Were not going to get part of it, were going to get all of it."
Graham declined to commit to voting in favor of witnesses and documents.

At this point that might actually not be a bad idea.
Get into the record what it actually says, and don’t allow the media or Dems to run wild with claims of what it allegedly says.
Why is the Senate GOP giving these impeachment charges any credibility at all? Even if Trump did what they claimed, it’s not impeachable. And the impeachment was passed in a cheap partisan way by the House Democrats. Senate GOP should stand up for the integrity of the process and their institution, and dismiss the charges. No more search for evidence - dismiss the charges, now.
But that’s asking too much of Linsee I guess. Seems every other day he says something different.
We want to know what Linda did to begin ISIS,
and to coveup his start of ISIS,
and to coverup his treason with McCAin.
Yup.
At least he admits what a lot of us here think...I don’t think we can trust anyone related to this...and other things
Its all about delay....
The longer Nancy keeps this in play, the more donors throw $$$ at her.
Kavanagh II, that is all it is.
Witnesses would be a disaster for Democrats in the House but could flip the Senate in a tough election cycle where many vulnerable Republican senators are up for reelection
Its all about the Federal Courts and the Supreme Court.
“I dont know if I trust anybody right now.”
I feel the same way about Graham right about now.
Wow what’s going on here? We really are always Charlie Brown to the Democrats’ and Republicans’ Lucy. No. he should say “it’s from a book that’s not out yet. This is ridiculous to begin with. even if it’s true it’s still not an impeachable offense. We’re not calling witnesses.”
I can answer that for you. He can’t be trusted at all.
He talks out of six sides of his mouth and still has his dead friend in him whispering to him.
why would gossip by unnamed anonymous sources printed by the Fakest Newspaper on the planet have any weight or credibility with anyone??
If he’s so anxious to subpoena something, how about demanding the Whistleblower’s statement that Schiff won’t release, and is grasping like grim death.
THAT’s what I want to see/hear.
Graham is a dog.

Right on!!!!!!!!!
I suspect that once we get a look at the manuscript we’ll find it does not say anything even close to that the NYT or the Democrats are claiming that it does.
Would that result in the book being publicly accessible at no cost? If so, that would be interesting.
Given the rolling debacle that is Bolton's book leak operation, I'm not sure that man really wants to be questioned under oath about his or his team's secret interactions with the media over the last year, or their discussions about how to use impeachment to juice book sales.

I agree. The manuscript is not a witness, and I don’t trust the NYT for one second to honestly relay the contents of it. The book will be released anyway soon and will become public record, so it will be a moot point...in the mean time, the Democrats are using just the ‘hint’ of their argument to call for a subpoena for Bolton, which would necessitate a court challenge.
