The Virginia Department of Health is investigating three possible cases of the novel coronavirus.
The three patients, two in central Virginia and one in Northern Virginia, meet the clinical and epidemiologic criteria for the virus that's prompted China to put millions under quarantine, the Virginia Department of Health said Sunday.
The health department has not released more specific information about where the patients live, work or have traveled.

How did it get to Virginia? Who investigates how the disease is transported? It could just be travelers from infected areas, but it could also be terrorists.
Would bet a lot of money at this point that at least some of the cases involve Chinese graduate students. Pure speculation on my part, though.
I live in Chesterfield so I Really live in central Virginia!
Sure would like to know How these folks caught this .. if it is the coronavirus!
Probably from Chinese college students.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Richmond is considered “Central Virginia” now that the Yankees have taken us over.
I’ve read that the virus can be taken in via your eyes.
“We now know the virus is contageous prior to symptoms appearing. I don’t think we know how many days though. I’ve heard 5 days.”
One of the Fox doctors said as long as 14 days before symptoms appear. She also said that some of those who died did not have fever at all.
One video clip they showed had people at a U.S. airport getting off planes. Medical people with masks put a thermometer on the travelers’ foreheads, and if it read normal they were waved through. So if some have died without a fever, this seems like a really bad idea. Just stop all travel from China and surrounding countries.
Now if cleanliness didn't cost anything then China would be as clean as Switzerland.
Good luck getting any information out of those democrats in VA.
The left will protect the Chicoms even if this thing spreads rapidly through America.
Lab sample was stolen from Canada. Soros owns the lab in China.
Lots on the LIVE thread
Hmm. Around where I live, we dont consider Richmond part of a Central Virginia.
But according to the VDH website, Richmond is considered part of its Central planning region, and Charlottesville/albemarle is considered part of its Northern planning region.
So they may very well mean Richmond metro area when they say Central Virginia.
The planning regions of VDH can be found on this map:

In central Virginia my guess would be University of Virginia at Charlottesville as well as Liberty University in Lynchburg.
Lynchburg does have a small Chinese community.
Northern Virginia has a sizeable Chinese community plus George Washington University, George Mason U and Marymount U.
Swell...
Imagine telling your dorm mates you just got back from Wuhan, and dont fell to good ...
I’m not too far away from there, either.
See my #32.
VDH is reporting two possible cases in Central Va and one in NoVa.
But according to their planning area map, Charlottesville is considered part of the Northern planning area.
All those State department employees that are being shuttled from Mainland China go where? Washington, D.C.? Pretty obvious in my humble opinion.
A whole bunch of Chinese cultural exchange people came into Fairfax County (Northern Virginia). They were from a region very close to the outbreak. They claimed 170 miles but I am sure it was really a lot closer. They were to meet grade school kids, but the parents put the kibosh on that. Then the dems were going to tour the Chinese around DC. Someone got a clue and sent them back to China.
Add to that a few potential carriers went through the Chicago airport. The gateway to everywhere.
Two Chinese bioweapon sites in the infected region. Did an employee accidently take his work home with him?
