President Trump’s defense team opened their arguments against impeachment on Saturday by attacking the credibility of lead Democratic impeachment manager Adam Schiff.
“Impeachment shouldn’t be a shell game,” lead impeachment attorney Pat Cipollone told senators.
A group of Trump’s defense team argued for only two hours against the two articles of impeachment charging Trump with obstruction of Congress and abuse of power....
“The most effective thing that happened was when they first read the transcript of the phone call, and then played the video,” Sen. John Barrasso, a Wyoming Republican, said. “From where I was sitting, the blood drained from Adam Schiff’s face as they played that video and the made-up words.”

Prosecutors bring up the defense arguments to bolster their own case, show that they have nothing to hide and are treating the defendant fairly.

Not only that, prosecutors are legally obligated to disclose evidence exculpatory to the defendant.

I was thinking when that was brought up that if I were in Shifts shoes how embarrassing that would be in front of all these Senators. However, on second thought, you just cannot embarrass someone like this guy. This is who he is trout his life and he is not a redemptive personality type. in my opinion

It isn’t an issue of common sense. The impeachment team has objectives. Justice and truth aren’t considerations.
I wonder if Schiff can be sued for malicious prosecution.
Can anyone think of a good reason why, at this point, no one has mentioned the “Senator, have you no shame” quote?
or,”have you no sense of decency?” Seems logical and fitting to use but maybe it is just too old or not fitting? I don’t know.
No normal person considers Schiff credible. If only he knew how much of a clown he looks like in front of the whole world.
Showed s’hitt reading the fake transcript, plus TV clips how he said the w’blower would testify, then not; how he had evidence of collusion, contradicted by the mulehead rept, etc. He was also ID’d as a fact witness regarding the w’blower.
The takeaway was that the guy who led the case and did most of the presenting was untrustworthy. Kind of kicked out the supports of the rats case.
I don’t think s’hitt ever expected to be taken down like he was. I suspect that he has much more to endure in the coming days.
That would be absolutely fantastic- and would put the fear of wrongful prosecution in the left’s hearts like it should be- perhaps they would think twice about using impeachment as a political weapon to try to thwart the right of the people to choose the president that they want- again-
