It means they didn't do their homework. It is the duty of the attorney seeking to introduce witnesses to explain what the testimony will consist of and why it is relevant to the factual issues before the court.

Yep. In light of the fact that removal is not the objective, we're back to where we started in 2016. Trump is not legitimate, this is not a legitimate presidency, yada yada yada. All the moles in the Executive department are being told that the Congress has thier back. Same message to the judges.

Schiff's team looks listless. He's the only one that appears to have any energy. He's giving a point by point "rebuttal." The press is hanging on. I bet Schiff could go on for an hour and the press would just hang agound and take notes.
Schiff says it is damaging for Trump to not trust the intelligence agencies - the corollary is he trusts Putin more. Schiff says outright that Ukraine made no effort to interfere in the 2016 election. Crowdstrike kookie crazy conspiracy theory.
Schiff also aid that Trump brought up Giuliani in the July 25 call. Nope.

The President’s legal team absolutely DESTROYED the Democrat’s “case” today - piece by piece. Calmly. Professionally. Compellingly.
Anyone with an even remotely open mind can see that the Democrats have no case. No evidence. No notta. You don’t even have to be a blind, right leaning partisan to think that.
It frustrates me beyond words that this farce is still continuing, and that supposedly “objective” people like FNC hosts (Cavuto, looking at you, pal), actually continue the charade. Of course, it’s good for ratings, so that’s probably at least part of the reason why. But, geesh..this thing is OVER after that presentation by the defense today.
And for the supposedly “gettable” (RINO) Senators like Romney - it’d be political suicide to vote for witnesses after the rock solid, compelling case put on by the President’s legal team this AM. Even Murkowski at least theoretically “should” see there’s no other choice than to wrap this farce up - and do so quickly.
Sequoyah101, what you posted about letting the snake suffer was terrible. Psycho indeed. In fact, one of the strong indicators of a budding serial killer is they often start torturing and killing animals in childhood. Whether or not you like them, snakes — the animals — just do what God designed them to do. Now the human type of snake is something else entirely, and I put you in that category.

Can Roberts REALLY unilaterally force witnesses in his sole discretion? That’s what Stabenow (Rat-MI) claimed on Cavuto in the post-game coverage.
