The Senate spectator gallery was at least half-empty throughout the first week of President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial and senators serving as the jury in the marathon sessions are taking notice — some stunned that there aren’t more people watching history unfold, while others understand the public avoiding the repetitive proceedings.
“I’m really surprised at that because this is kind of historic and I would think this would be an opportunity for people to get in there regardless of whose side you are on,” Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) told The Post Friday.
Journalists aren’t allowed to bring cellphones or cameras into the gallery, so the noticeably small audience is known directly only to people able to access the chamber.

He EXCORIATED Schiff for basically insisting that Trump BE IMPEACHED for having had the AUDACITY to conduct foreign policy in a manner that was DIFFERENT from that conducted by previous administrations. HOW DARE HE!

Thanks l knew it was one of the founders, figures it was Washington and he was absolutely right. The worst of us infest these parties and make it about them country be damned.
Who would have interest in attending a side show? No thanks. They’ve said only one thing all week but it’s been repeated over and over and over and over..How many people watch the same movie hour after hour after hour? These people are nuts and Inhofe is nuts if he doesn’t understand that.
The senate gallery is half empty but the streets of Richmond were packed. And no one makes a connection.
It doesn’t seem historic in any good sort of a way, more in a decline and fall sort of way. The star of the show, Shifty Schiff, is fundamentally disturbing to the point that even the night time comedians are making jokes about his demeanor. Whatever the Democrats want to say, the fact is that Trump is picking up polling points the more the country gets a look at who is against him.
Just a simple straight up question: Would the average person rather be stuck in an elevator with Domald Trump, or would they rather be stuck with a politician who has Charlie Manson eyes?!
It would take an extreme masochist to sit there and listen to Schitt blather for 7 hours and 20 minutes, and also Nadler and the rest of the clown show. Who would do that?

I’ve probably watched a total of 30 minutes of the circus in four days...Probably not much more than that when the defense begins. Dershowitz said last night on Hannity if a prosecutor takes more than 2 hours to present a case, they already know they don’t have anything! He said he isn’t part of the defense team - his job is to speak about the constitutionality of this impeachment and after that it should be over! We could wish!! The opposition was pathetic and they are such a sad, sorry mess, they can’t even see it!
The Democrats just don’t even LOOK like good guys. They look like a fricking rogue’s gallery, particularly Charlie-Manson-Eyes-Schiff.
I heard an interesting + worthy barometer of public opinion:
I live in San Diego and there is a long running FM morning show, “Dave, Shelly & Chainsaw” aka “DSC” - this is something that is often so dumb and stupid you can literally feel your brain cells escaping but sometimes they’re original or funny. They are very politically correct but slant center left & at times they have some libertarian streaks that right their thinking & the nature of their show means they cover news and such and certainly play into the “Drumpf” narratives.
Today they were lamenting how pathetic impeachment is ... they were begging for something else to talk about and decided + said that Wendy Williams farting ... they said at least they could understand that, the Schifty show is boring and it’s impossible to connect their presentations.
I was surprised to hear this ... now, ordinarily, I’d expect these folks to choose some kind of farting escapade to attract their attention, but they were so adamantly opposed to covering impeachment, it left me curious what that meant ;)

Watergate was about a botched burglary of a DNC office where the DNC was sending call-girls to top Dem donors. That’s ALL it was.
Hollywood has much more believable fiction than Congress.
I was at the San Diego airport late morning this last Wednesday.
CNN was on a large screen, with about 40-50 people in viewing area.
i observed over a 30 minute period... NOT ONE PERSON LOOKED UP AT THE SCREEN THE WHOLE TIME.
Seriously.
That’s the real news on the impeachment trial.
Because it is nauseating to those who understand. Who wants to watch justice perverted? They make take themselves seriously, we understand it is a clown show.

I would like to see Trump’s defender’s remind everyone on live TV this, “Nurse Ratched you have two patients over here.”
