Trump impeachment: Half-empty spectator gallery puzzles senators
NY Post ^ | Jan. 24, 2020

The Senate spectator gallery was at least half-empty throughout the first week of President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial and senators serving as the jury in the marathon sessions are taking notice — some stunned that there aren’t more people watching history unfold, while others understand the public avoiding the repetitive proceedings.

“I’m really surprised at that because this is kind of historic and I would think this would be an opportunity for people to get in there regardless of whose side you are on,” Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) told The Post Friday.

Journalists aren’t allowed to bring cellphones or cameras into the gallery, so the noticeably small audience is known directly only to people able to access the chamber.

Maybe the potential spectators found something more interesting and informative than
the Demonicrats talking at the impeachment trial... like watching a clogged toilet overflow.

I’d think there’d be enough insomniacs in DC to keep the gallery full.

How much of this do they think people can take?

What right minded person would sit and listen to these idiots spout their hate. I am actually hoping it will be over for the senate quickly. However,
I think the house may begin a new charge.

They do think we are completely stoooopid!!!

If you read the lines (Don’t even have to read between the lines) the LIBs just admitted the Bidens are into ‘it’.
I surmise this because they acknowledged?? that PDJT made the inquiry AFTER Biden announced AND after Biden admitted he coerced the investigation.
SO...they admit he is guilty but PDJT had no right to investigate him..

Today I see where some LIB is saying BO had every right and DUTY to investigate ANY Presidential candidate that MAY have colluded or negotiated with a foreign govt.

IN Bloomies lastest, he either has or had ‘accused’ PDJT of influencing elections.
In the last thing I heard (hard to keep track, he has several in the TV Land now) MB said he personally had directed/supervised/funded etc 30(?) elections for D candidates and won them all SO that is what WE will do in November? (He must be referring to VA).
Isn’t that ‘influencing’ an election?

Soros is making the rounds saying HE is scared that if HE doesn’t do something that PDJT may get reelected.
Soros backs any commie or socialist coming down the pike and HE is ‘worried’ that the country will go to hell in a handbasket? Seems he is pushing in that direction...

You’d think the Hollywood idiots would be there since they claim so loudly how important it is.

There is no mystery here. American politics is almost entirely defined around party. Dems think Pres. Trump is a disgrace, Reps. think (or say they think) he is the savior of the nation.

As a result, few of any senators will cross party lines. Donald Trump will not be removed, the Dem Congresslosers, especially from safe Dem districts and states, will continue to hate him, and the circus will go one.

Just like the Founders hoped. Thank goodness for their wisdom.
