Sharyl Attkisson Speaks Out
American Thinker.com ^ | January 24, 2020 | Elise Cooper

Posted on 01/24/2020 12:23:37 PM PST by Kaslin

here are many books, TV shows, and movies about once-revered FBI agents portaying them as heroes. But after revelations concerning Donald Trump, Richard Jewell (accused of the Atlanta Olympic bombing), and well-respected journalist Sharyl Attkisson, people might be reconsidering. Maybe FBI should stand for Fear, Beware, and Intimidate, while DoJ, the parent company, should stand for Department to Obstruct Justice. Granted, many do their jobs well, but the leaders at the top are definitely suspect to having an agenda.

American Thinker had the privilege of interviewing Sharyl Attkisson, a whistleblower of sorts, about her reaction to the current climate regarding the FBI/DoJ and the lawsuit she filed. She is an investigative reporter who hosts the syndicated TV news series “Full Measure,” as well as an author publishing a new book that details the death of news, to be released right after the election.

As a CBS investigative reporter, Attkisson worked on the Fast and Furious and Benghazi scandals that occurred under the Obama Administration. In 2011, government agencies began to monitor her for having the audacity to dig into the facts of these fiascos. Using the curtain of national security, the DoJ went on the offensive, including a playbook to actively target journalists with electronic surveillance. Tasked to carry out these investigations was the FBI.

“Granted, many do their jobs well, but the leaders at the top are definitely suspect to having an agenda.”

I watched Richard Jewell...and as far as I’m concerned the whole bunch are corrupt.

IF the FBI came to my door, nothing...I’d say nothing.

this idea that 95% are hard working loyal... BS....

I say BS.

Look at who leads the outfit... Christopher Wray...

He’s the poster child for the FBI...

You think he’s loyal to our president? BS

Anyone thinks I’m wrong... prove it.

I noticed liberal entertainment media recently put out a TV show lauding the FBI because the outrage against them is so high.

The vaunted FBI crime lab was exposed as corrupt back in the 90’s. FBI HRT sniper Lon Horiuchi killed Vicki Weaver. The FBI burned the Branch Davidian children alive and then put out BS that David Koresh was a child molester. If anyone believes anything the FBI says is an idiot.

I think the Richard Jewell movie is as accurate as you will get...

I sure hope after Trump is re-elected, that he dumps that POS Wray.

>> once-revered FBI agents portaying them as heroes

In the last four years, I've become convinced that The X-Files was a documentary.

Man...after Waco, Ruby Ridge, Elian Gonzales fiasco, Trump spying, spying on journalist, Richard Jewell, protecting Hillary/Bill Clinton from prosecution, Bundy ranch debacle, the killing of Finican...on and on.

I don't trust them...not even a lil bit.

I used to admire the FBI.

Not anymore.

A true FBI Agent would have caught Comey in the Hall after his “Hillary Is Guilty But I’m Too Chickenshirt To Prosecute Her” speech and slapped his face.

Thought you might find this interesting...

“Another person named in her lawsuit is Shawn Henry, the former FBI executive assistant director of the cyber branch who now is president of CrowdStrike Services, based in Baltimore. Could third parties be assisting the government in illegal surveillance operations? What is almost laughable is what he had told American Thinker a few years back, “There is not this grand conspiracy to violate people’s civil liberties.”

She replied, “there are some good people at the FBI, such as the ones who first alerted what was being done to me and other Americans. They were horrified about what the government was doing. But they see that insiders get smacked down when they speak up, while nothing happens to the bad guys.”

I.e., the so-called "good guys" are too worried about their pensions and careers and mortgages to squawk. I would call these types "enablers" rather than "good guys".

“IF the FBI came to my door, nothing...I’d say nothing.”

Great advice. I just hope I remember if it ever happens to me.

A couple years ago, I was contacted by a federal bureaucrat who said he was taken a census, but not of everyone, and only of selected members of the population. I was first notified by letter, saw it wasn’t required, so I ignored it. One day this dude comes knocking on my door saying he was there to interview me. I gave him hell for showing up without an appointment and said if he wanted to see me he needed to call me to make an appointment.

But he didn’t. Instead he showed up about 8 pm one evening and said essentially the same thing. Then I told him what I should have told him the first time. It’s not required, I’m not gonna do it. He walked away mumbling how I must be one of those people who doesn’t trust the government (well, duhhh), and I thought I was done with it.

A couple weeks later I get a knock on the door, again in the evening, and it was a woman who said she was there from Chicago to interview me. Then, I just got rude. I told her to away, I’m not interested.

Apparently this effort was being overseen by the CDC. All I know is that was the last contact I had from them.

So, yeah, if you get contacted by the feds, even if it’s not the FBI, then tell them nothing. Who knows what mischief they’re up to?

There's a GoFundMe link for Sharyl at the bottom of the article. She's carrying the horrendous financial burden by herself.

Let us also remember Hillary making sure she was given over 900 FBI files and one can only imagine what kind of info was in there given the nature of J Edgar and his side kick who lived shall I say an alternative lifestyle...together

To LEOs, FBI means Famous But Incompetent. Det. Coffee is a NYPD stated, “A lot of streets were named after the FBI, ONE WAY. “ They lost the 911 bombers here in Sarasota. Ask Robert Jewell how he feels. I have been told more kidnapping victims die than saved. They waste resources duplicating data bases then keeping data for their Secret Squirrel stuff. They show for opening conference on joint investigations, come back a few months later and press for charges in their jurisdiction. You have to scramble to get a report out. Then they show for press conferences s take credit. When you read Federal Agents you think FBI... wrong.

Their areas of jurisdiction must be dispersed into a number of agencies and what’s left removed from DOJ... or we will have an American Gestopo

The FBI agent who tried to entrap Richard Jewell eventually got a short suspension.

When he returned to work, FBI agents lined the hall to give him a standing ovation.

Don’t buy that 95% for an instant.
