One House Democrat's accusation amid the Trump impeachment trial stunned even the most moderate of Senate Republicans, reportedly prompting GOP Sen. Susan Collins to write a note to Chief Justice John Roberts about decorum on the floor of the upper chamber.
Collins, R-Maine, is the latest to signal her concerns, after impeachment manager Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., asserted earlier this week that GOP senators were engaged in a cover-up.
Collins told Politico she was stunned by Nadlers comments, and confirmed to the outlet that she wrote a note that made its way to Roberts after a tense back and forth between Nadler and White House Chief Counsel Pat Cipollone.
[snip]Collins said she gave the note to the secretary for the majority, Laura Dove, and shortly thereafter, the chief justice did admonish both sides. And I was glad that he did.

Joseph Goebbels:
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.
Apparently, Old Nadless is on the abrasive side.
It's not a presiding judge's job to review and censor the content of the parties in a court case. Absent an objection from either side, the general rule is for him to simply let the proceedings move along.
This whole deal is a circus act from the Dems. I would have greater respect for Collins if she wrote a note to her fellow senators saying she was on board with an immediate dismissal.
Jerry Nadler is Exhibit A in the case for why New Yorkers are generally seen as the biggest @ssholes in the United States.
Collins and Murkowski are two republicans who still take the Dems seriously. That’s why they were ‘stunned’ at his crass remarks. Most other GOP know Nadler, Schiff and Co. as the Swamp Dwellers they are.
That’s the way I see folks from many other states :)
Not all are blue either :)
Thankfully President Trump is doing his part to change the perception of New Yorkers!!
And when you’re the greatest city on the planet you don’t give much of a damn what rednecks or hicks or people (possibly like yourself) who wouldn’t know WHERE the World Financial Center is, no less what it does, think :)
ciao and have a great one :)

they will take the middle ground... voting to call some and not others the DEMS want
Dude — you’re from Staten Island. That’s really New Jersey, not New York. :-)
Smuckie was on for about 20 minutes trying to limit the damage from Nadless’s remarks this morning. Snug douche that he is.
Maybe not. I think people love President Trump because he is OUR @sshole. :-)
Rumor has it Collins has also passed a note to the FISA Court clerk requesting that someone in the group actually reads the evidence before the court before issuing warrants. But the FISA Court clerks response needs to wait until a blue ribbon commission on reading and comprehension among federal judges has been completed.
I haven’t watched a second of this nonsense, but I knew putting Nadler & Schiff out in front would reap benefits. The mere sight of them shuffling around in daylight is enough to turn someone’s stomach. I hope to see their faces made the center of DJTs reelection campaign ads.
He does fit both the big and asshole criteria.
Poor Susan keeps trying to fit in with the popular clique. They pretend to like her for a little while, then they dump a bucket of pig’s blood on her, and she’s surprised every time.

......by moving to Florida. Even he had enough of that cesspool.
Any hope the Dems had of calling witnesses died when Nadler offended the Bobsey Twins.
The insidious trolls were given 4 days to defecate on the floor of the Senate.
