The Naval Station Great Lakes has gone on lock down on Friday morning as authorities warn of a 'gate runner.'
The station, located in a North Chicago suburb, shared a short message on their Facebook telling people to 'hide' or 'fight.'

Chicago high muzzie population.
I wouldnt trust 1/2 of the officers I had to be armed and the rest of us not. Screw that. Everyone should be able to be armed and ready to go.
When are Navy personnel called soldiers ? never
Most sneak ammo from home i would
Clintoon outlawed it.
Fight? Firearms not allowed on military bases so are they going to throw stones?
“I know of a base where the gate MPs have M16s, but are issued no bullets.”
That is far worse than being unarmed in my view.
Where is Audie Murphy when you need him?
Seals ????
I wish the military would listen to me. I have a simple gate design that can not be driven through.
i refuse to go to those talks and have my intelligence insulted. I am always busy in another area when they have them
My boss went to one recently and it turned into a “white guilt and privilege” fest.
Nauseating.
He is. He’s reincarnated into as a man, a real man, named;
TRUMP
> Run, Hide, Fight is being taught at a lot of companies today. <
I suspect that the Fight part is just tacked on so that the administrators dont look totally stupid.
Years ago, a lawyer came to the urban school where I was teaching. He talked about breaking up student fights, and about Run, Hide, Fight. At the end, he said that if we chose an active approach and ended up hurting someone, the school district would not help us in any lawsuits.
Well thanks for the support, pal.
Back in November, a Sailor was killed by a gate crasher who drove on to the base through the exit lane. That base, Fort Story, (a joint Army /Navy base) does not have pop up barriers. The driver hit the Navy Security vehicle head on at 85 mph, killing the sailor The scumbag survived and faces trial
My son was at Ft. Hood when Nidal Hassan went juramentado. When I asked him about arming soldiers at bases, his reply was basically that he'd only arm E5 through E7 NCOs because of "trust issues" with the bottom and the top.
Golly. An assault on a military installation. Perhaps the governor could call out the National Guard to defend the base.
Run, hide.
Well it is the Navy.
What do you expect?
Having served 11 years in the Navy.
I take offense at your derogatory comment about the Navy.
Well at least you could club somebody with it.
That's good advice for our military, although it should not be necessary. I served in uniform, and in emergencies I would run or at least walk quickly to where I could deal with the problem. Snipers spend a lot of time learning to hide so they can take the shot that counts. Fight? If you can't do that, you should volunteer for the Peace Corps or model as Pajama Boy for an Obamacare ad, not join the military.
