The Justice Department has concluded that the evidence underlying multiple warrants authorizing the surveillance of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page failed to show Page was a foreign agent, as the law requires.
The department delivered its conclusion in a December letter to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC), the secretive federal body that approved the departments four surveillance applications of the Trump aide.
A Justice Department assessment found that in at least two applications "there was insufficient predication to establish probable cause to believe that Page was acting as an agent of a foreign power," states a FISC court document quoting the departments review.

And their non-support of the other two applications is notable.
There’s more probability of criminal consequences as a result of this, than there was before.
Comey?
How could it take so long for DOJ to finally reach a conclusion that was so obvious to so many people?
Even worse, this “finding” will result in absolutely no consequences for anyone or in the imposition of any meaningful safeguards to prevent something like thisfrom happening again. The secret surveillance will continue unabated and uncontrolled.
Many of our once trusted federal agencies are corrupt beyond repair.
Somebody might eventually be getting a letter to their personal file, maybe. I’m not sure at this point if it will sternly worded or not based on this article. Must be some terribly scared people out there that were involved in this.
Theres more probability of criminal consequences as a result of this, than there was before.

There’s no such thing as consequences or accountability in DC.
DC is a justice free zone.
Take your pick: Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Rosenweasel etc.
duhhhhhhhhh.........where’s captain obvious when you need him?
SIGH ... The DOJ has been saying and showing a lot of evidence that already tell us there were lots of dirty, corrupt and anomalous things going on.
Where are the people being punished? Where are the handcuffs?
Mike Flynn, Paul Manafort and Roger Stone’s houses were RAIDED at dawn and jailed for charges lesser than these.
Without any action taken against this criminally corrupt coup that was going on, all we have is one big whine.
And yet, the FISA Court rubber stamped the warrant. It took two corrupt parties to get them approved. So, what are you gonna do about it?
Wake me up when the indictments are issued.
The law is not like so many people, who may be perfectly correct in everyday terms. The law is its own thing. It is deliberate. The law is slow. It is not hasty or urgent--unlike, say, anything Pencil-neck does. It is timeless, considered, and utterly logical. Its strength is that it is inexorable, just, terrifying, and final.
So the DOJ says that they did not have enough evidence for multiple Page warrants, but they had enough for the first?
Why read today what it was your duty to read four years ago????? These admissions with no consequences to the perps is inexcusable.
“...in at least two applications “there was insufficient predication to establish probable cause to believe that Page was acting as an agent of a foreign power,” states a FISC court document quoting the departments review.”
Caution: Pettifogging Ahead
It is known and admitted that Carter Page was not an agent of a foreign power. That means ALL FOUR applications lacked sufficient predication. Why is the Justice Department implying that two of the applications had sufficient predication? Surely they aren’t arguing that false statements they made in a FISA application accomplish sufficiency. What are they trying to slip by with this pretense?
So whos going to prison? Where are the Grand Juries? Where are the indictments?
Do I hear bagpipes?

These people are not too bright. It takes them years to discover what the rest of us knew years ago. These clowns need a calculator to count their fingers and toes.
How could it take so long for DOJ to finally reach a conclusion that was so obvious to so many people?
The problem is that unlike criminal justice, political justice is not law-driven, it is media-driven. If the media creates no sense of scandal, nothing can happen.
The outrageous bias and blatant use of double standard that has infected the media since before Watergate holds as a given that the Democrats are the good guys, and Republicans are the bad guys. Democrats are compassionate and seek to help the poor. They want peace. They want fairness. They want to share. They want to protect the planet. Republicans are selfish racists who want war and suffering, and they want to poison the environment to boot. Everything in Washington DC is viewed through that lens, and with that double standard.
To give just one example, the Republicans seek to protect the unborn, the most vulnerable of all, from mass murder by the Left. For that, instead of being hailed by the media as champions and protectors, they are accused of taking away the rights of women to choose abortion!!
You see the same absurd double standard applied across all issues - until the media s somehow held to account, there will be no consequences for Democrats, no matter how corrupt.
