Former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg has jumped into fourth place in the Democratic primary contest with 9 percent support among Democrats nationwide, a poll published Wednesday shows.

The top contenders remain unchanged, according to the Monmouth University survey: Former Vice President Joe Biden was the choice of 30 percent of Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders had 23 percent and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren came in with 14 percent.

Bloomberg is trailed by former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg with 6 percent and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar at 5 percent.

Just remember that if you are polling 10%, that means 90% of those polled did not pick YOU. They picked various other people ahead of you. It must be cost him $1B per % point

This is the 3rd poll to show Bloomberg at 9% or above. That's the difference between Bloomberg and Steyer. Steyer is a portfolio manager who hasn't run anything bigger than a team of analysts and traders. Bloomberg built a 20,000 employee organization from scratch. While both have spent north of $100m of their personal funds and Steyer had a head start, Bloomberg is deploying his funds with the skill of a seasoned business owner and operator:

I don’t think the vast majority of people have even spent a minute worrying about who they are going to vote for yet.

[Bloomberg has the charisma of an iguana.]

Hillary had the charisma of the Wicked Witch of the West and she won the Democratic nomination. I doubt Bloomberg gives off quite the same satanic vibe that Hillary did.

The real story is that Biden is still the one to beat. The man is not well and Trump will wipe the floor with him. I just pray the Rs take the House and keep the Senate.
