SEATTLE — Authorities said a woman was killed and seven people were hurt, including a 9-year-old boy, after gunfire rang out in the heart of downtown Seattle, the second shooting in that part of the central business district in about 24 hours.

The Murder of Kristopher "Kris" Kime was the killing of a 20-year-old Auburn, Washington resident and Highline Community College (Des Moines, Washington) student when he was knocked down and beaten to death during the Seattle Mardi Gras Riots that occurred in Seattle's Pioneer Square district early in the morning of February 28, 2001.
Kime was bending over to help a young woman who was lying on the ground and being attacked. As he bent over, he was struck on the back of his head by Jerell Thomas. He fell onto the pavement and struck his head again. As he lay there, other rioters began to kick him. His friends and others surrounded him to protect him.
As he lay dying in the streets, police officers stood on the sidelines and watched. His friends ran to the police and asked for assistance. The police were instructed they could not enter the riot zone, so they did not intervene. Off-duty fire department workers and his friends carried Kris out of the zone onto a nearby street. He was placed in a police vehicle, driven to Harborview Medical Center, and placed on life support. He died later the following night. The cause of death was listed as resulting from a fractured skull and subdural hematoma.
If the victim had opened fire the police would have entered the riot zone.

And as one would expect, the Governor of Washington Seattle is already blaming gun violence and a need for more gun controls
It’s not hard to take back neighborhoods and just as easy to let them rot. The left willingly lets their cities rot by design. They think they are running things but they don’t. Those scum that they enable do.
1) President Trump creating a distraction from the impeachment circus and/or
2) An offset to the media failed narrative on the Virginia 2nd amendment march, you know, those gun toting white supremacists...
btw, the cops may start out as good men, but they quickly become pension chasers like some in our military.....they will follow the stupidest of orders just to keep chasing their pensions.....to stand and watch while someone is getting beaten to death?....pathetic....

but in Washington they do require you to register all sales even between private parties, IIRC......thankfully, the local sheriffs don’t have the staff or the patience to enforce this...
