Perhaps he can dig that hole his digging a bit further.
They just changed the evideence rules. With one stroke McConnell has validated all the garbage from the House. No sunshine pumping will change those facts at hand.
I wonder if he will have to recuse himself on the case about President Trump’s taxes.
He's there to confer an air of constitutionality on what is otherwise a show trial. He's window dressing.
The good news is that the clock is running, the bad news is people watching have to listen to Schiff.
Jay Sekulow was reading a prepared text. This is usually harder than speaking with only or without notes for a brilliant man who has full command of a subject, which he does, but whose every word will not usually be parsed and analyzed throughout the trial and throughout history.
The trade off is him digging himself further, and watching him get disassembled yet again.

Jay Sekulow, I like the guy but he sounded a bit off today. If that was because he was reading on TV then I hope he’s done reading on TV.
So the word “preside” in the constitution has no legal effect?
The common use of the word implies the power to rule on evidence and objections. I believe the framers intended that the Chief Justice was to preside by issuing rulings on the admissibility of evidence and objections to questions.
But then the constitution has no meaning anymore.
“Asking for additional discovery on the day of trial is unprecedented”
