Protesters in Puerto Rico called for Gov. Wanda Vazquez to resign Monday after stores of relief supplies were found unused in a locked warehouse over the weekend as the island reels from a powerful earthquake.
Dozens gathered outside La Fortaleza, Puerto Ricos governors mansion, banging on frying pans, denouncing Vazquez and holding signs with messages including Government, Absent, Criminal, Negligent.
I have never come out to protest but this caused me so much anger and indignation, protester Rubi Oliveras told El Vocero newspaper. How is it possible that you say you care about the country and yet you let so many people die while hiding these supplies?

“Reminds me of the Ms. Gov. during Katrina.”
You’re thinking of Louisiana.
The governor and themayor of New Orleans were as useless as teats on a boar hog. The people weren’t much better.
I know three people from Virginia who took their dump trucks and headed south to help out. Two ended up in New Orleans. They later said it was the biggest cluster screw they had ever seen. State and local governments were too busy playing the blame game to get anything done and the majority of the people were sitting around waiting for someone else to fix everything.
Both said they would never go back under any circumstances.
The third fellow was sent to Biloxi, MS. Completely different story.
Neighbors got out their saws and cleared roads and streets. Looked in on the elderly and pulled together. Locals with backhoes, front end loaders and other equipment volunteered their equipment, time and money to help out. The state and local governments sent volunteers where they were most needed.
Fella said he would be happy to help out Mississippi any time they needed it.
Ms. Gov. during Katrina......GWB (pleading): What do you need!!? ...Blanco: “Everything! Everything!”
Oh.. Thought you meant La. Gov.
Replying to @MetsMAGA @GodLovesUSA1 @ac13alex
everyone in Puerto Rico GOVERNMENT knew the supplies were in the building RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO THEM
They didn't FLY into the warehouse, a BIG TRUCK delivered them and that would be kind of hard to just hide
ONE PERSON is not to blame pic.twitter.com/MAHQzzTK0p— Bodacious2012⭐⭐⭐ (@bodacious2012) January 20, 2020
@ac13alex I do remember this and see what is going on in the island with all the hidden supplies pic.twitter.com/5J4CotAvt8— JuanKathia Rodriguez (@juankathia) January 20, 2020
Replying to @ac13alexYou blame Trump for PR and didn't visit the White House because of it. Yet it was YOUR local government who was withholding aid.
You cheat the game of baseball and get fired as a result.
Can you be honest with yourself Alex?https://t.co/wfpWtGQRbY— Sons_Of_Liberty_2020 (@2020_sons) January 20, 2020
She needs to be locked up.......after she issues an apology to Trump.
I bet there are more hidden warehouses around and that there are some empty ones whose contents have been sold.
Incompetence and corruption combined in PR, I must believe.
It seems all those islands run on corruption and incompetence (behind the tourist scenes). Corruption in bribery and getting ones lovers and relatives jobs, and incompetence by those lovers and relatives knowing crap about the jobs they were given.
“They should look into Mayor Loudmouths bank account after the hurricane to see if she was receiving kickbacks”
...to go along with the scheme and hide supplies so the media/Dims could accuse Trump of not caring about people of color.
Blah, blah...Trump wasn’t concerned about people of color, and didn’t care if they starved.
Only two of that list are true.
Yes, when Puerto Ricans were suffering and some even dying, many were volunteering, sacrificing their own time, labor and money. The US military and Coast Guard were busting their ass, risking their lives and leaving their families home alone to rescue and deliver aid to victims. President Trump pledged our help, and rushed aid to help these people. The American people opened their hearts and wallets to help, or even traveled there to assist.
Meanwhile in Puerto Rico, Union Dock Workers saw an opportunity to make more money, holding aid supplies hostage. Politicians saw an opportunity to score political points for themselves and against Trump. Bureaucrats saw an opportunity to rake in bribes while ignoring those in need.
And there are those who think Puerto Rico should be a state...
Probably intended to sell the supplies when the coast was clear.
DJT is the only politician to have ever called them out, so their criminality is ingrained.
They need to arrest that skanky, San Juan “mayor”, Carmen Cruz. The DNC used her as a puppet to attack President Trump while she was hiding all the aide in the warehouses. She should have been the first one arrested. The DNC was pulling her strings every night on the “news”.
She’s a skank. “We” weren’t dying. She was killing them.
Read post #24. Mississippi got off their butts and worked from the North part of the state to the Gulf Coast to clean the damage up and help those affected. Individuals, churches, and businesses all chipped in like I’ve never seen before to help. One would have to have seen it first person to understand the pride and determination of Mississippi.
God bless Mississippi!
Louisiana was a mess.
They keep telling Trump, dont call our bluff, and he does everytime. You think they would at least learn, at some bluff calling, but apparently that is not possible.
Mississippi waited for no one. Rolled up their sleeves and got to work. Had an acquaintance go there. He was impressed.
Ironic that an earthquake proves the corruption that prevented aid after the hurricane.
