The New York Times endorsed not one, but two candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination on Sunday.
The papers editorial board gave their blessings to progressive candidate Elizabeth Warren and centrist Amy Klobuchar in a surprise endorsement that split from tradition.
The editorial board announced their endorsements toward the end of an episode of The Weekly, the Times television show that airs on Hulu.
In an article posted to the Times website soon after the episode aired, the board noted their two endorsements were a break with convention.
In endorsing Warren, the board wrote her campaign writes seriously about policy, while also making a point to highlight proposed anti-corruption legislation and speaking clearly about foreign policy.
Her campaigns plans, in general, demonstrate a serious approach to policymaking that some of the other candidates lack, they wrote in the endorsement.
Ms. Warren accurately describes a lack of housing construction as the primary driver of the nations housing crisis, and she has proposed both increases in government funding for housing construction, and changes in regulatory policy to encourage local governments to allow more construction, they added.
In their endorsement for Klobuchar, the editorial board called her the standard-bearer for the Democratic center.

If Tulsi Gabbard can’t figure out how to turn this into momentum as an “outsider” candidate on the Democrat side, she has no business trying. Without making some crass remark about the NYT prioritizing genitals over policy, pedigree, or any other qualification... his is her, erm... opening.
You extracted the money quote. Here is my rebuttal:
The incumbent president, Donald Trump, is clear about where he is guiding the Republican Party white nativism at home...”
DJT doesn’t care about skin color. Nor do 99.9% of his supporters.
“...and America First unilateralism abroad...”
Yes, he’ll stick up for the American worker for a change.
“...brazen corruption...”
Stupid assertion, not worth arguing with. Nobody believes Trump is corrupt.
“...escalating culture wars...”
Another stupid assertion. The left is escalating the culture wars.
“...a judiciary stacked with ideologues...”
A judiciary staffed with jurists who respect the Constitution. Naturally this enrages the left.
“...and the veneration of a mythological past where the hierarchy in American society was defined and unchallenged...”
Trump’s veneration goes back about five decades to when America wasn’t being played for a chump by the rest of the world.
NYTimes gives out participation awards LOL!
So if you ever let one of these reporters use your bathroom they’ll urinate in your toilet and garbage can.
Neither of whom have a chance. Warren is on her way down and Klobuchar is down with the rest of the bottom of the pack. Realistically its between Biden and Sanders.
Lol.. This is already sending the Woke into spasms of insanity. Any bets they withdraw this by Tuesday Mornings editorial board meeting?
In other words, NYT endorses red jackets
NYT picks.....two losers. Let it be.
Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! The Slimebags won’t go nowhere near the white “gay” guy or the cranky, old white guy.
Good post, YS.
liars endorsing liars- not surprising
I’ve been saying since the Kavanagh inquisition that Klobuchar (wherein she was the only ‘rat who even remotely acted like an adult) was the best guess for a dark horse candidate in the party. I also predicted that the ultimate nominee would be one perceived as a centrist, because the extreme left wingers would cancel each other out.
I predicted from the start that Biden will be the nominee. I haven’t changed my prediction, but Biden is a friggin mess. He’s seriously damaged goods.
So, who else could become the nominee? Well, Klobuchar, for one, but a lot of analysts are saying that the likelihood is increasing that there will be a brokered convention. If no one is selected after the first round of voting, the delegates are freed of their obligation to support their candidate and can switch over and vote for anyone they want.
If Hillary really wanted to have another go of it, that would be where she will step in to save the party. But I don’t see Hillary going anywhere. Bloomberg would be a lot more likely just because he has given a lot of money to almost all of the recently elected dems in Congress. They owe him. How about M. Obama? She would get it quite easily, but I really don’t think she has any interest in it, and won’t bother to jump in. Also, by then, Klobuchar maybe will have attracted enough attention so that she gets it.
The rest of the field may never recover from this

Democrat media is honest about where they stand.
Hilliary will NEVER allow a woman, any woman, except her daughter, to be President before her!
NYT gets the Goldem Tampon Award
Exhibit#5,678,901 on how the MSM lacks self awareness. They don’t know Jack
That’s two strikes, one more to go
Klobuchar is Congregationalist.
Pretty sure she’s Jewish.
