Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., announced that his initial plan of a pre-trial dismissal of the impeachment case against President Trump is now unlikely to happen, but he is pushing for the trial to begin and end as quickly as possible.
The Senate trial is set to begin Tuesday. Graham had previously floated the idea that the GOP majority could immediately vote to dismiss the case before hearing any arguments, but now he states that this does not appear to be a possibility given the lack of sufficient Republican support for such action.

Nonsense. The chances of 67 US Senators voting to remove Trump from office is close to zero. 51 votes is not equal to 67 votes.

While three or four Senators have suggested a six-week impeachment period...I think the peak will occur around the 7th to 14th day, and the public interest will dwindle down real quick after that, when they realize there is no real evidence....just witnesses who ‘think’ they know something.
I also think the key subpoena that will occur will be for Hunter Biden, which he may be attempting to leave the US over the weekend to avoid this (my humble thought). I don’t think you need to subpoena Joe Biden because you’ve already got the video of him, and Trump’s team will simply run that for everyone to see the obvious comment.
I did notice the Sergeant-of-Arms for the Senate stating that if anyone attempts to break the ‘rules’...he’ll remove them from the hall. One of those rules was the ‘no-electronics’ allowed in the chamber.
1. Please get an education in basic civics. The President has already been impeached by the House.

Once again GOP Senate fails to support POTUS by refusing to dismiss this garbage from the Hiuse out of hand. This isn’t a farm bill being debated. The GOP Senate failing to whip votes in support a GOP POTUS under impeachment coupist assault is a failure of leadership. McConnell needs to go. Period.
Watch what Graham and the useless NEver Trumpers in the GOP Senate do and not what they say. Right now that it is validating the House Dems “Impeachment” garbage. Long term damage to the Constitution is now being committed by the GOP. With Republicans like this who needs Democrats?
Don’t be the stupid guy on this thread. Of course Trump is not going to be impeached. The trial will be wrapped up and Trump acquitted by about Jan 27th or 28th. At least in advance of his SOTU address.
