Dalia al-Aqidi is a Muslim Iraqi refugee who says she's tired of hearing Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., play identity politics while using language she believes is "dividing" America.
So she is launching a campaign to unseat her in November.
Al-Aqidi, who discussed her newly launched campaign in an interview with Fox News, joins a growing field of Republicans looking to take on Omar. "She needs to be stopped," al-Aqidi told Fox News in a phone interview. "I truly believe that I'm strong enough to beat her at her own game."
She explained that in a race between the two of them, Omar would be limited in using her background as a Muslim woman who came to the U.S. as a refugee from Somalia to distinguish them because they are "basically the same" in that backstory, she said.
Al-Aqidi decried the use of identity politics on the campaign trail.
"Muslims, Christians, Jews are all Americans," she said, while going on to blast Omar's past comments that have been labeled anti-Semitic.
"Every time she opens her mouth she says something either anti-U.S. or anti-Semitic," al-Aqidi said. Omar has apologized for past tweets about Israel that played on anti-Semitic tropes.
Al-Aqidi also alleged that Omar is more interested in raising her own political profile than helping her constituents.
"I am loyal to the country that gave me a chance, gave me a brighter future," she said, claiming that Omar "continually tries to weaken the country and divide us."

“I am loyal to the country that gave me a chance, gave me a brighter future,” she said,
Wow. That’s a brave thing for her to say, given how many muslims won’t agree with her loyalty. To say the least.
American-Muslims are arguably Americans.
I’m less sure about Muslim-Americans.
The principles underlying the Koran seem to me irreconcilable to those underlying the Constitution.
If this is the case, any American who still respects the Koran may attempt to serve two masters while struggling to be a good citizen, but likely will normally do a good job at being an American, while those Muslims who still respect the Constitution . . . will have a harder row to hoe. [to loosely paraphrase Patrick Henry].
There’s a lot of evidence floating about that Omar has been working as a spy for Qatar (Iran proxy).
If true, she may be gone by the next election.
Treason is a capital offence.
I might be inclined to send her campaign a few bucks.
She needs to be stopped by any means necessary. Just a little commie lingo there folks.
The time to defeat Omar is in a primary, as a democrat. Her district is solid D.
Im not sure what FRs obsession is with this woman. Sure, shes running against Omar, but Islam is evil even if the Muslim candidate has an R behind their name.
Let me settle your ‘arguably ...’ concern ...
There are only two kinds of muslims. The fanatics that want to kill you and the rest of the muslim population that support the first group.
You may have a muslim neighbor who seems like a nice guy. His kid plays soccer on the same team as yours. But never, ever forget this: when the SHTF if he had to choose between killing you or another muslim, you are toast.
I guess the question is can we trust her.
“I am loyal to the country that gave me a chance, gave me a brighter future,” she said, claiming that Omar “continually tries to weaken the country and divide us.”
This is the kind of immigrant that we need, someone in the mold of past waves of immigrants who appreciated this country and wanted to contribute to it and have their kids be Americans.
May God Bless this man and give him guidance to defeat evil Omar!
I pray that he also learns how much Christ loves him indeed! Amen!
Oh she’s a woman!..
May God Bless her and I pray she learns about Christ!
Muslims....
Their values are anything but American dude.
