If so, she will lose. The First Amendment protects free speech. But the 1A only protects you against the government. It does not protect you against your employer.
As an extreme example, suppose you work for Ford. And you are standing on a public sidewalk in front of a Ford dealership. And you are holding a sign saying “Ford has bad management.”
The police cannot legally arrest you. That would violate the 1A. But Ford can legally fire you. Heck, Ford can legally fire you for anything you might say.
The only exception would be if you were working under a contract that prohibited such a firing.

A private person or employer should have every right to discriminate in any way they want-—and suffer the consequences of their behavior if people don’t like it.

You’ve got that right. A peaceful protest (on a public easement) in front of his office, that would also be appropriate.
The reference to the lawsuit seemed to be regarding suing the employer. Suing a liar for Slander is an option.
Actually, it is.
The left has quite successfully implemented Stalinst tactics to destroy the lives of those with whom they disagree politically. This will eventually lead to one of two outcomes:
a) Legal remedies.
b)Violence.
If there isn't a legal way to remedy this situation, for instance, suing the people who dox or file false claims against people to shut down their right to free speech, it will eventually lead to someone tracking down the person or group that got them fired, and there will be violence.
The left is using the tactics of leftist totalitarians. Eventually other tactics, such as those of Mao ("Power comes from the barrel of a gun") will be used against those same leftists. Of course, that's why leftists need to disarm the public, to ensure they stay in power.

You raise a very interesting point. But even so, I’d hope she would lose any lawsuit. Because if she should win, slander lawsuits would be flying everywhere.
For example:
Me: I think Bernie Sanders would make a great president.
Some Freeper: You must be a communist.
Me: Liar! I am not a communist. You have slandered me, and I am suing.
That would be a frivolous lawsuit. But I would make an exception if the slandered party could show that he was monetarily damaged by the slander.
It’s no different than the leftists going after Home Depot for Bernie Marcus’ support of President Trump’s economic policies.
The left is trying to hurt HD because of the founder’s political beliefs, even though he hasn’t been a part of HD for many years. So now, some of them are going after the charities that Bernie supports.

Not really because you have to prove that it resulted in “harm”. This post resulted in harm because she lost her job and her employer said it was because of the review. She has a real case against the poster. She needs to go for it, a good award would help stop this form of hecklers veto.
