Trump Curse: Red Sox Manager Who Refused to Visit President Trump In The White House With His Team — Is Fired For Cheating
GP ^ | 01/16/20 | Jim Hoft

Former Red Sox Manager Alex Cora who refused to visit the White house after the Red Sox won the World Series was fired this week.

Red Sox management said it was on ‘mutual terms”. Cora worked for the Huston Astros and cheated there to help the Astro win the world series… Then Cora came to Boston and cheated in Boston to help the Red Sox win the World Series.

The whole management staff from the Astros was fired earlier this week.

According to a reader, “All of the players had to have known too! They used a camera out in center field to get the catcher’s signals and then relayed them to the batters. Both teams should forfeit their titles.”

Trump Curse strikes again.

No surprise... Most Democrats lie, cheat and steal.

Astros fan here. Disgusted.

I think Houston and Boston should both lose their WS titles. In fact I might even suggest a further 2 year ban on post-season play.

Outlaw pitch conspiracy between catchers and pitchers.

Titles should be vacated. Heavy fines for all management and at the very least a 3-5 year ban.

I TOTALLY AGREE. THIS IS WORSE THAN THE WHITE SOX SCANDAL OR PETE ROSE BETTING SCANDAL.

If they just could’ve had the Commissioner of Basball impeached, all this would’ve gone away.

Interesting idea, but it would never happen. You’d probably end up vacating half the titles in baseball history, and a ban on post-season play makes no sense in a professional sport with established rules for playoff qualification.

If it’s illegal to use a camera in center field to get the catcher’s signals, then why does MLB allow TV coverage to include a center field camera that broadcasts the catcher’s signals to millions of viewers?

The question is—did anyone who knew about this make it pay with professional gambling?

_That_ would be the greatest scandal in MLB history, and you can bet MLB does not even want to look _there_.

Cora should get at least the same punishment as Pete Rose.

These two titles were fraudulently obtained. Proven. Start now setting an example.

It is easy...if Houston wins the division, declare them 2nd by suspension, and declare the second place team 1st.

Could also declare several games forfeit to achieve same.

Hit them hard. Never to happen again.

Cora should get a lifetime ban but he won’t.

I can’t wait for the Rangers to have “Garbage Can Night” when the Astros come to town.

A ban such as you suggest would destroy the franchises. Fans won't go to games to watch a team banned from the postseason or return to watch a team banned for the regular season. It would lead to the franchises having to relocate to new cities as entirely new entities. While I am sure there are many who think the deaths of those two franchises is fitting, there is NO WAY MLB would allow the Red Sox to end up like that.

There is no need to vacate the titles. MLB didn't place any asterisks by those titles, but they are there nonetheless.

If I'm the owner of the Houston Astros and you tell me I am ineligible to qualify for post-season play, then what incentive do I have to even put a team on the field?

Better yet ... why wouldn't I just field a team of circus clowns and Little Leaguers?

Or even best of all ... why wouldn't I rig my own games so I am competitive against the best teams in the league, and deliberately lose to the worst team -- to help that team win the division?

Because someone in the dugout was banging a bat to make a loud noise the batter could hear every time a certain pitch was called.
