OTTAWA A British and American couple, both unemployed, are seeking to emigrate to Canada despite having no real skills to offer the country, early reports indicate.
British and American media have said that an American actor and her husband have the intention of living in the country on a semi-permanent or permanent basis.
The actor has found some previous work in Toronto which may help her immigration and work permit applications although Citizenship and Immigration Canada has not identified acting as an in-demand trade.
She has to obtain the proper paperwork indicating that she has a job, said an Immigration Canada official. We need references and a criminal record check before her application can move forward, but she hasnt even been nominated for a single Golden Globe yet.
Being famous was not considered a skill in demand unlike a doctor, nurse, engineer, or general labourer. The husbands application scored 0 out of 70 points on his Canadian work experience despite claiming waving and talking during his most recent visits to Canada.

Meanwhile, the Refugee Board rejected the pairs claim that they were fleeing family and governments devolving into authoritarian states.
They’re getting some mexicans? Or hondurans?

He listed his name as “The Ginger formerly known as Prince”.

But wait, Harry can fly a helo. Maybe work in the oil fields?!
Hehe. Prince Whipped is being led around by his........nose.
He is have a nose ring soon like his mother in law.
So if they don’t want the duties of being attached to the royal family, do they get cut off from the Queen. Does that mean they both have to get jobs?
“On the streets, reactions were mixed among Canadians with some welcoming the fleeing couple, while others feared that Harry would illegally take away ceremonial jobs from hard working Canadians.
The ribbon-cutting and handshaking industries in Canada have been hit hard leaving many politicians and dignitaries out of work.”
Satire worthy of the Babylon Bee!
just another hen-pecked husband - he should fit in well among the Trudeau loving Canadians.
At the Canadian immigration counter, I explained the above to the Canadian officer. He looked over the top of his glasses at me and asked, "Isn't there someone in Canada that could do all that?" I answered back, "Apparently not." He gave me a scowl and pulled out every item in my laptop case and overnight bag, had me power up my laptop and was basically just a PITA.
Unlike in the USA, it seems in CA, they actually put a high value on workers and tax payers.

[Canadas] unique monarchy, and its delicate yet essential place in our constitutional system, means that a royal resident the Prince is sixth in the line of succession is not something that Canada can allow, it says. A royal living in this country does not accord with the long-standing nature of the relationship between Canada and Britain, and Canada and the Crown.
speaking of royals, there are some pretty stringent rules on application for British citizenship, i.e., # days one can spend out of country in 1yr (90 days??) and over 3yrs. (It’s a five year process?) It’s been said she spent 38 days on duty last year with a lot of private travel to the USA and Canada.
Has her refusal to return to England and her current stay in Canada exceeded limits? And if she’s null and void, is she an American on work permit to Canada? AND, does one have to hold British citizenship (or sincerely pursuing the same) in order to hold royal titles? Other than knighting ex-presidents and high notables as a courtesy title, I’m not sure if the Queen can bestow titles on foreigners to the realm?
Now, THAT was funny!
Liz gave her the Duchess title.
Interesting about the days limit.
Hope she messes herself up worse than she has already.
