The plot thickens with the 2A battle in Virginia.
West Virginia is now early in the process of inviting Virginias counties to secede and be annexed to West Virginia.
WSET reports that the first official invitation has been delivered to Frederick County, VA.
The West Virginia Senate adopted a resolution by voice vote Monday to remind residents of Frederick County, Virginia, that the county has a standing invite from 1862 to become part of West Virginia. It now goes to the House of Delegates.

Excellent! More Electoral Votes for WV and fewer for VA!
Wouldnt it be Virgxit?
Lol. As soon as I posted it I realized my mistake, but my way is funnier, particularly if their representatives fail to discharge their duties to the people.
...Ill see myself out now....
Vagexit?
Not prematurely!
making virginia more blue by making a very red state even more red is a spectacularly bad idea.
Like it...popcorn is popping...
What do the different colors of the Virginia counties mean?
Better idea is all the conservative Virginians who didn’t vote vote in the next election and kick the Commies out of all 3 branches of VA gov.
BUT to do that we need some good conservative candidates on the ballot........
Hello????????
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_West_Virginia
... is the only state to form by seceding from a Confederate state. It was originally part of the British Virginia Colony (16071776) and the western part of the state of Virginia (17761863), whose population became sharply divided over the issue of secession from the Union and in the separation from Virginia, formalized by admittance to the Union as a new state in 1863.
thanx for there historical perspective which is unnecessary for this mountaineer. I asked about your statement. This his non-responsive to my question.
True, but the exit of red counties would mean that VA's two Senators would be Dem for the foreseeable future. As it is, it may be hard to flip them, but not impossible.
New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union; but no new State shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or Parts of States, without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress.
Technically there's nothing in there preventing parts of one state breaking off from one state and joining an existing state.
8 generations WVa family here
Recipients of government checks vote Rat. Don't forget that.
I’m surprised that Tennessee has tried to lure regions of southwest Va.
Hey, WV, can the red bits of NYS come too?
For the record, Cabela’s of Bristol Virginia has been lured down the road a piece to The Pinnacle in Bristol Tennessee
It’s already happening
you must be part of the feud with VA
That is the way I read it.
They would not be forming a NEW state.
This would be another constitutional crisis and If read the way I see it, could result in an stampede of parts of states joining more favorable states. By the excepting states would have to agree to it.
What would this do? It would change the political landscape.
Now I’m in E. Tenn. not much different really
Locals trying to get Bristol, Va. folk to come on down too
Ga. one time was trying to steal 1.5 mi. border to steal our water from the Tennessee River
