Medvedev, Vlad, or both?
Interesting.
Former, Prime Minister Medvedev, may have been reasonably close to Obama.
If so Obama might be a little concerned.
re-sign is like the opposite of resign
Medvedev stepped aside but because hes a trusted friend of the President, hell be back.
Putin Power Play, he remains in office until 2024 and will profoundly reshape the Parliament
Dimitry will have plenty of time to visit Zero’s ocean-front villa in Massachusetts while he is serving as a visiting professor at the John Forbes Kerry School of Foreign Affairs. /s
I think Medvedev is a case study of a fall guy. He was also a person to check water for a taste of liberalism within the Russian populace which failed miserably.
I, like everyone else is wondering what’s afoot...
May be something as simple as a constitutional change to allow Vlad to run again.
But I highly doubt it’s a dissolution of the legislative or judicial branches of their government.
All we know for sure is that in the end Vlad’s in charge.
Putin screwed his own pooch and is suffering from the torture the media and Dems keep applying to Trump, while Trump actually wants to have amicable relations.
I wonder how that dog felt.
Normally, I would horrified that this looked like a power play to stay in office... but then why also move to limit the power of the President? Is Putin seeking to become Prime Minister?
Putin isn’t (really) a Christian... but Medvedev governs moreso like one. His issues conflicts with Putin tend to be over moral issues, such as opposing abortion.
BOL!
Nothing happening in Russia led to worsened relations.
The way US foreign policy operates requires an external enemy.
China is a big no-no because of all the bribes coming from there, North Korea and Iran.... well. Both are obviously too minor to portray them as an existential threat no matter how hard the establishment is trying to change perception.
Russia is a very convenient bad guy in light of that. All the stereotypes already in place down to Boris and Natasha.
Any attempt by anyone from any side at rapprochement would be torpedoed by DC establishment.
Even POTUS is incapable to change it.
