Barr Tightens Approvals of Probes of Presidential Campaigns
Wall Street Journal ^ | January 13, 2020 | Byron Tau

WASHINGTON—Future investigations involving a U.S. presidential candidate or campaign will have to be approved by the leaders of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Justice Department, Attorney General William Barr said.

“The opening of a counterintelligence investigation of a presidential campaign would be something that the director of the FBI would have to sign off on and the Attorney General would have to sign off on,” Mr. Barr said Monday at a press conference.

The Justice Department’s move follows criticism about the handling of a counterintelligence probe into links between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Curious if by law as the A.G. states the head of the F.B.I., and the A.G. have to “sign off” on such investigations then are they apt to do it again? I think that’s the strategy behind this.

The crooked Democrats will find a loophole somewhere, or just use another underhanded means to get what they want, but they are thwarted from repeating that which they did to Trump.

The report a year ago was that Barr, the consummate, Deep State, Bush family fixer (and a second-generation corrupt spook type) was put in to cover the Bush family crap up (part of a truce between the Bushes and Trumps, after Poppy’s funeral), and so would do just that.

I see nothing to the contrary, other than his more brazenly keeping the jig going within the DoJ and FBI (and presumably the CIA and...) than might even have been expected.

The AG and FBI chiefs not only signed off on the Trump campaign shenanigans, but they veritably led the charge.

C'mon this is just pro forma shit that Barr has to sign off on.

Like Trump doesn't have to sign useless pro forma shit every day. You people I swear...

Yes, but for the assassination attempt being a closer cakl for Reaga,. Trump seems to be getting it even worse, however. His blindness to Ivanka has led to him bringing the corrupt Kushner influence into his admin, however, which also likely gives them more of a threat to dangle.

The CIA, FBI, DOJ and IRS all signed on to spying Trump and his team.
I guess you don’t need to be very smart to be a AG.

The thing I absolutely can’t understand was why would Barr step in and save Trump from Mueller just to let him spin in the wind? It just doesn’t make sense.

Perhaps you are overthinking that which you lack the information to understand

Or, perhaps both of us are not properly processing what we do know. For instance I can postulate that Barr’s behavior could be understood if you consider if he were to start the ball rolling on arresting the coup conspirators the resulting damage to the Democrat Party would effectively make the USA a one party system for two generations. Maybe the reason he is letting Comey and the rest off isn’t because he loves them so much but he just doesn’t want to be the one history records as the “guy who brought the house down.” So at the same time he doesn’t want to let them get away with everything and do the same damage to the GOP.

Not saying this is what is happening but it does seem to explain a lot of facts.

I have concluded that the President knows that is either us or them.

He has directed his administration to eliminate them

The action will take place at the time and circumstances of his choosing.

The concept of parties is obsolete. There are Americans and Euro wannabe’s

Or maybe both of us are missisng the “bigger picture”. Fourth Generation Warfare could explain a lot. Since 1945 we have enjoyed “Pax Americanus”. Now that is crumbling due to the fact that State Sponsored Violence has failed to control “Non State Violence” on many fronts and across the globe. We may see in coming months a violent clash right here in Virginia between parties where the line between state and non state is becoming pretty blurry.
