The warmth around Everest might be stemming from a strong LOCAL tourist/climber industry.

While it is still too early to tell what impact this new growth could have on the region, "urgent research" on the potential effects is needed, Anderson told CNN.

"We don't know what the impact is -- it may be that plants trap snow and might cause it to melt more slowly. It might be that the plants cause the snow to melt more quickly," she added.

So... what the f***?

This has nothing to do with global warming. It has everything to do with having more CO2 in the atmosphere. Thanks big oil!

About as definitive as climate change.

Forty years ago, the junk scientists were warning about acid rain killing all the plants! Now they’re alarmed too many plants are growing.

Geez.

Plant life dying... bad!

Plant life thriving... well,... maybe just maybe it’s bad.

This isn’t about warming. It’s about increased CO2. I wish we could figure out a way to bump it up to about 2,000 PPM. It would change agriculture as we know it.

Not to mention the Sahara. A good CO2 supply reduces the amount of water needed for plants to thrive.

How stupid can anyone be? Plants are growing because the environment is beneficial for them! The added CO2 is making them thrive! They are really deliberately ignorant and stupid.

Actually, a warmer Earth means longer agricultural growing seasons in much of the world. And that means much higher food production, good for the human race! Another Ice Age could cause a major famine, which is bad for the human race.

More plants are growing around Everest -- and the consequences could be serious

The opposite.

If more CO2 is being added to the atmosphere we need more plants to process it.

They're defining a natural solution as a problem.
