Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi has told the U.S. secretary of state to send a delegation to Iraq tasked with formulating the mechanism for the withdrawal of U.S troops from Iraq, according to a statement released Friday.

The statement, from the office of the Iraqi caretaker prime minister, said the request came in a telephone call between Abdul-Mahdi and U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Thursday night. It says Pompeo called the Iraqi premier.

The prime minister said Iraq rejects all violations against its sovereignty including the attacks carried out by Iranian forces against U.S. troops in Iraq and also American violations of Iraq’s airspace in the airstrike that killed a top Iranian general last week. The Iraqi leader asked Pompeo to “send delegates to Iraq to prepare a mechanism to carry out the parliament’s resolution regarding the withdrawal of foreign troops from Iraq,” the statement said.

Pompeo and Pres. Trump need to smile and say “Cya, we gone.”
Our time there is and has been over.

Either pay us for the airbases and rebuilding, plus the embassy, or we erase them all on the way out.

Plus, we never return, no matter if Iran takes over. Make it an act of war if they give our old bases to China.

Leave NOTHING for the Chinese to move into, because their money is behind this.

Dear Iraq,

We will be glad to leave. But know this, if you align with Iran and act aggressively toward our interests, we have a problem. And next time we come back here, it ain’t gonna be to nation build. It’s going to be to smash, trash, destroy and leave you in the stone age.

In short, behave.

Love,

The suckers who (foolishly) wasted billions trying to build you a better nation.

"..Abdul-Mahdi has told the U.S. secretary of state to send a delegation to Iraq.."

Why fly to Iraq when decisions can be as easily made in the comfort of the USA.

Throw Iraq to the wolves? You know that's not what they want. But it might be in our best interests to pretend their charade is in earnest.

formulating the mechanism for the withdrawal of U.S troops from Iraq.

It would involve ground vehicles and aircraft.

I don’t get the impression Iraq sincerely wants us to leave.

I would be interested to know this guy’s connection to Iran, how chummy he has been.

This lame duck, Iran’s puppet, was ejected because he ordered his people to fire upon Iraqi demonstrators, killing 500 of them. Given that he’s on his way out, it’s hard to say what real authority he has to issue this demand.

If so, we need to return the infrastructure back to what it was just prior to the occupation.

President Trump is having to deal with the aftermath of Obama’s pro-Iran administration. Obama, traitor that he is, helped Iran install a government in Iraq that is hostile to the US.
