President Donald Trump has been a polarising figure at home - but how has he fared abroad? A new report by the Pew Research Center details what the world thinks of the US leader.
Pew, a non-partisan US-based opinion pollster, surveyed nearly 37,000 individuals across 33 countries from May to October of last year.
So the polling was done before the US president gave the order to kill Iran's top general, Qasem Soleimani.
Here are some key findings.
Only 29% of the countries surveyed by Pew expressed confidence in Mr Trump last year, in keeping with how his presidency has been viewed since its infancy in 2017.
Pew notes that this lack of confidence is in part due to opposition to the president's foreign policy.
Mr Trump's policies on tariffs, climate, immigration and Iran are all largely unpopular globally. His negotiations with North Korea's Kim Jong-un garnered the most support, with a median 41% approval across the 33 countries polled.

“Torture them a little more!”
Got to love the fact that The Philippines. A country that fought with us, side-by-side to eliminate the Imperial Japanese 75 years ago, 75 years later is the most appreciative/supportive foreign country on the list.
Meanwhile, the western Europeans who we liberated from NAZI aggression lags seriously behind the Philippines even though we not only spend Billions to protect them annually.
We have 10’s of thousands of our boys there standing ready to die to defend them.
This level of disrespect and contempt by those western European countries is disgusting. And, if our President even hints at this fact The Deep State, One World Gov’t types go bat shit crazy over President Trumps statements wrt to this fact.
Being leader of the Free World is not a popularity contest. None of these countries can vote in our elections.

The Filipinos have totally forgiven the USA for reneging on her promise to immediately give her independence when we made her a colony in 1896 after we won the Spanish-American war.
There was a brutal rebellion then and hundreds of thousands died.
After we quelled the rebellion, we eventually promised the Philippines independence by making her a commonwealth with her own President ( Manuel Quezon ). We kept our promise to give her independence after World War II.
The bitterness of over a hundred years ago has been forgotten.
First, never believe a Pew poll.
Next, if Merkel is so popular I find that troubling.
However, never believe a Pew
the same PEW that puts out unbelievable rubbish on gloBULL warming on a regular basis?
25 Nov: Pew: U.S. Public Views on Climate and Energy
By Cary Funk and Meg Hefferon

Bring the boys back home!
Don’t leave the children on their own, no, no.
Bring the boys back home!
“There was a brutal rebellion then and hundreds of thousands died.”
Unsaid in this statement was, the primary force behind that rebellion were the Muslims from the southern islands.
Black Jack Pershing took care of that issue.
They went silent for many decades afterwards.
The majority Catholic population did not in any meaningful way rebel against the USA.
In fact, most appreciated the USA. They had never been treated so well by any other exterior world power as they were by the Americans.
This fact has been passed down from generation to generation thus, the very high regard for us by most people in that country.
They love Trump in Korea.
Pew is making this crap up. Obama’s highest number is the same as Trump’s in ISRAEL. NFW
Countries who would prefer the US to be their bitch/sugar daddy hate him.
Simple as that.
