Pelosi Signals An End To Her Hold On Articles Of Impeachment; Expects to Release It to Senate 'Soon'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said she expects to release her hold on the two articles of impeachment against President Trump "soon," but for now she is still holding out to learn more about how Republicans plan to conduct a Senate trial.

"No, I'm not holding them indefinitely," Pelosi told reporters Thursday at a weekly press conference. "I'll send them over when I'm ready. That will probably be soon."

Pelosi refused to give any additional information about the timing, saying Democrats want to know what Senate Republicans are "willing to do and when they're willing to do it."

Republicans have criticized Pelosi for refusing to take the procedural action of sending the articles to the Senate. The House approved the two articles — abuse of power and obstruction of Congress — largely along party lines on Dec. 18.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., attempted to force Pelosi to drop her hold on Tuesday when he announced plans to approve Senate trial rules without the help of Democrats.

Pelosi reiterated Thursday that she wants more information on what those rules would include. But she also indicated that she was not planning a fight over the details.

"All we want to know is what are the rules, it doesn't mean we have to agree to the rules or we have to like the rules," she said. "We just want to know what they are."

At the core of the disagreement is who — if anyone — would act as witnesses during the trial. Democrats want a deal on that up front, while McConnell wants to sort the issue with additional votes after the first phase of the trial, including opening arguments and a period allowing written questions from senators to both the prosecution and the defense.

The House approved the two articles — abuse of power and obstruction of Congress — despite bipartisan objections.

There fixed it.

Mitch will tell her, you'll send the articles for Senate disposition, otherwise there will be no trial. Right after she pulled her stunt, he should have got the Senate majority to vote to accept the Clinton trial rules, and at the same time set a deadline for the vote, putting it all on the Botox Bitch to get the phony baloney articles over in a timely manner.

Apparently Speaker Pelosi is now choking on the partisan impeachment albatross she decided to hang around her neck for the benefit of the extremist progressive wing in her party as she stumbles through the hall of Congress trying to figure a way of getting it off of her.

Excellent, Nancy. Destroy the Democratic Party as soon as possible. This should help finish it off.

There are a few concepts to think about:

1) Basically move to dismiss the impeachment (short timeframe) in the Senate since it has no basis, then allow Barr, Durham, and others prosecute the hell out of the conspirators, or,

2) Elongate the trial in the Senate, bring in the Bidens, go into scorched earth mode to acquit Trump, but it won’t have the same effects as #1 above since the Senate can’t imprison anyone, or,

3) Play along with the double-tap, Schiff-Nadler-Two-Step per the #FlamingBagsOfDogPoop Theory below, going after Trump and Pence in one stroke:

The Full and Complete Coup D’etat to Impeach Trump and Pence

The Flaming Bags of Dog Poop Impeachment:
Nancy sets fire to a flaming bag of dog poop at the front door of the Senate (impeach Trump), but delays ringing the doorbell. This buys time for Schiff and Nadler to put together a second bag of flaming dog poop (impeach Pence).

Nancy sets up the second bag of dog poop at the back door of the Senate. Sooner or later, Nancy rings the front doorbell. Mitch stamps out the fire at the front door. Then Nancy rings the doorbell at the Senate’s back door, forcing Mitch to track dog poop throughout the Senate. Mitch stamps out the second flaming bag of dog poop, getting his shoes even dirtier.

Since Nancy is used to slogging through feces in her own district, she prances up to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to occupy the White House in triumph.

If successful, AG Barr will be fired, but will first whisper in Nancy’s ear, “All glory is fleeting....”

Scenario 1 is the most likely and I would say certain. There are people strong arming us in that direction.

Well, that was amusing.
Here's a basic concept -- Pelosi won't be Speaker of the House in the next Congress.

I am a Trump supporter the reason I don't support the GOP as a party is how Gdamn slow they are to respond and fight back against Democrat shenanigans. If not for Trump the GOP would be a headless chicken of a party. I despise the GOP's weak-kneeness. The impeachment trial should have been held the week after the congressional vote.

There is a part of me that thinks the GOP is still the pro Deep State party and are uncomfortable going against their Deep State allies/masters but they fear the GOP base which (like the real heroes they are) have stuck with Trump. The pro Trump GOP base is the real hero in all of this and if not for them the GOP establishment would have Nixoned Trump.

I suspicion this is just more B.S. from Pelosi

I believe she KNOWS if she releases this to the Senate it's either "going nowhere".. or could result in the Senate holding a trial and as Trump has already stated, "I want to see witnesses like Joe and Hunter Biden, Adam Schiff, etc called to testify.

Releasing the impeachment articles results in the Dimms "no longer" having any direct control over the impeachment process and Nutso Nancy fears that most of all.

Evidence? Did the House stupidly vote to impeach a president WITHOUT EVIDENCE?

That is exactly how the democrats are working these days. Reference Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
