They are shocked 75% of homeless there are from somewhere else?
Reminds me a few years ago, mayor of Washington DC said her city could only accommodate actual Washington residents, and complained about homeless from other places entering Washington.
Sadly these cities with big homeless problems don’t have the political will, or knowledge of what to do about homeless people.
The most amazing thing is that it is only 75%. If they had California like weather, it would be closer to 90%.
Build it and they will come.
Years ago, I did a research paper showing there was a supply curve for poverty which I turned in both to an economics professor and sociology professor to fill a semester end requirement. The econ professor thought it was brilliant. The sociology professor was angry but had to give me a good grade because the evidence was all there.
I'll never forget the two nearly opposite reactions to exactly the same paper.
Reminds me of 50s and 60s when Kalifornia was luring folks out there with offers of FRee stuff/college, etc...
