They just wanted to do the right thing. The small town of Middletown, Ohio, a town of 49,000 people, has opened all manner of homeless services. There is everything from soup kitchens and shelters that allow you to be high and drunk to rehab facilities to sober up.
And that's the problem. You can come to Middletown to stay drunk and high and get three hots and a cot without having to do much.
Now the homeless are swamping the town. Residents who call Middletown home are shocked that "about 75%" of the homeless are from someplace else, according to the former police chief.

A couple of years ago I checked out the tent city on the grounds of the Orange County, Calif., courthouse. I approached a woman wearing an official-looking neon-colored vest and asked her what her job was. She was paid by the county to connect homeless people with services. Then I asked her what the homeless were doing there. To my shock, she honestly answered the question. She told me that most of the people there got government checks and would rather spend them on drugs than rent.
That encampment is now gone. The courthouse grounds look like an abandoned prison yard with chain-linked fences erected in an effort to keep the homeless from re-establishing the tent city.

the free dental schools treatments are used to teach the students how to do it....I went to Marquette dental as a child....it took them forever to do anything because every procedure had to be approved by staff..all free to my family
You know there’s a problem when you take a deep breath of freedom. If it smells great you can be assured you are on the right side of civilization.
If it STINKS when you breathe freedom in you can be ASSURED that you are smelling the last gasps of government doling out freedom in bits and pieces that they have usurped.
The smell of death is permeating democrat strongholds. All of them.

Years ago in Oakland, CA a group of heroin-addicted punk rockers were discovered living in the basement of a mansion on Lakeshore Drive. They’d been there for over a year before the homeowners, who lived upstairs & came & went every day, noticed.
The punks had dragged in salvaged furniture, bedding, cupboards & a refrigerator & hotplate.
They even had a recording studio and an “indie” radio station set up to broadcast their punk music, using headphones to keep everything absolutely quiet.
How does this work exactly?
Who decides who is homeless in the many encampments spread out in NYC?
How to they decide which homeless are to be forced on a bus? Do they search them and their belongings in a tent and shopping cart?
Once loaded, who decides which cities to bus them to?
Does the town or city have any say?
Does the new town pay for their rent as said in the article? What agreements are work out in in advance between NYC and the town/city?
Until someone shows me otherwise, I think this whole re-planting (so to speak) of the homeless is Bullshit. I think it's something DeBlasio made up out of whole cloth. Show me the NY law and how it is applied.
Reminds me of 50s and 60s when Kalifornia was luring folks out there with offers of FRee stuff/college, etc...

Unfortunately, the Libs will collapse society before they let that happen.
The money has already run out. The Libs keep spending anyway.
When we converted from giving surplus government cheese, beans and the like to actual cash to get the food of choice, demand for food assistance grew much faster even as the number of poor people were decreasing.
I still remember the USC Dentistry students were giving them FREE teeth cleaning which would have cost you close to $500 in the private sector.
Where in the heck do you get your teeth cleaned?
One of the local churches noticed their power bill had went up a little and couldn’t figure out why. One of their members went about inside looking for the culprit and found nothing. She finally went outside and found that the homeless had used several extension cords connected to an outside plug on a side of the building people rarely went around and ran it off into the woods next to the church. She followed the cord and found it connected to a microwave and other small appliances were about the area. She removed the cord and the church pulled the power on that outlet.
Another business across from my Dad’s business had two homeless living in a section of it. The owner knew about them but let them stay in the winter months. However they decided to sneak to the buildings next door and sure enough started running extension cords for their stolen appliances. A police officer noticed the cords and my Dad watched the officer yank the cords out of the sockets and then take wire cutters and cut the heads off the extension cords.
Similar thing happened to me where I live now.
About 5 years ago, I noticed my water usage doubled. Found a water hose hooked to an outside spigot in the wooded area that’s part of our lot.
Followed the hose to the property line & noted it connected to another hose that continued into a neighbor’s window.
I cut it twice,leaving the hose laying on the ground with a 12 inch section obviously removed.
A week later, bumped into the neighbor in grocery.
Told her to be careful, I suspected a “prowler” had been lurking around in the woods, and I was concerned he might be armed.
Boy she squirmed.
Is there a sociology professor alive who is anything other than a flaming lib? I seriously doubt it. And libs HATE it when they are proven wrong.
That's similar to what I suspect about computer virus problems...the companies create them to sell you the cure.
Wonderful guy. He made me look like a liberal by comparison back in the day.
