Iranian retaliation begins with missile attack on Iraqi airbase

Initial reports stated that 9 rockets hit the Ain al-Assad airbase on Tuesday. The base hosts American soldiers.

Heavy missile attacks were carried out by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps on the Ain al-Assad air base in Iraq that hosts both Iraqi and US soldiers on Tuesday night. Nine missiles hit the airbase, according to Al-Hadath.

A couple of weeks ago, I watched a three-part series titled Charles I: Killing the King. I got it off a British torrent site. It is amazing the similarities between the Democrats going to all lengths to impeach President Trump, and what the "Rump" Parliament did to get charges of treason on Charles I. They called it a "Rump" Parliament, because many of the members left London, and went back to their homes because they didn't want to be involved in the whole mess. It was weird seeing the remaining members of Parliament trying to come up with specific charges to pin on the King. They basically made the rules up as they went along, just like the Democrats. It was so interesting to watch it, and compare their actions to what the Democrats have done, and are still doing. Here's the link to the program on the BBC Four site:

I don’t buy the ‘saving face’ attack spin that people are twisting and turning about on the news. If the Iranians were actually worried about the results of killing an American, would they have risked such a strike at all? No. They missed, had crappy guidance, or we successfully jammed them and had adequate warning to get our guys under cover. The mullah sand the talking heads can spin this all they want, but they are the criminal that took the shot and missed, but still have the gun. It’s time to shoot to kill.

POTUS has been talking to moderates in Iran for some time. These events have the feel of something that’s already been orchestrated. The best deals are those that have been worked out ahead of time. The last few days may have been the execution of an already written script agreed upon between POTUS and the moderates in Iran. The moderate elements of the Iranian regime were prevented from making a deal with POTUS by hardliners like Soleimani.
