I dont buy the saving face attack spin that people are twisting and turning about on the news. If the Iranians were actually worried about the results of killing an American, would they have risked such a strike at all? No. They missed, had crappy guidance, or we successfully jammed them and had adequate warning to get our guys under cover. The mullah sand the talking heads can spin this all they want, but they are the criminal that took the shot and missed, but still have the gun. Its time to shoot to kill.
They didn’t even target the base closest to Iran. American casualties were clearly not the top priority here.

Agreed. It’s not about how successful the strike was, but their intent. They targeted bases where U.S. military personnel are stationed. It’s not like they just lobbed a few missiles into the open desert of Southern Iraq. Our response should be based on intent, and how serious the attack potentially could have been.
