There is a way to ensure antifa does not mess things up. 2A types will recognize them, they cannot blend in with us, visually or conversationally. when you identify them, notify the local police that a counter-demonstrator has entered our group and let the officer deal with it.

At some point a man realizes that pleading his case is not working, so he has to shift to deterrence. A man seeking to deter a potential adversary does not care what the adversary thinks of his character. He only cares that his deterrent posture is respected.

Deterrence is overt. And can be implemented legally.

I've attended the VCDL/Tea Party Lobby Day on and off for years at the Capital. I was also part of a protest three weeks ago (against the 7th CD representative Spanberger) there. Most likely there will be bad guys there this time. I'll be there again too.

When conservatives pass a law, or when Trump does an EO, the Left immediately gets a judge to issue an injunction, preventing the law (or EO) from becoming law while going through the appeal process. What are the chances of conservatives doing that to this (liberal) law?
