Can’t they identify where the Rockets are being launched and destroy the place? Probably mobile and will be gone by the time the eyes in the sky focus in on them...Perhaps they can and will target Iranian military installations in Iraq along with the local headquarters that control those installations...Concentrate more on leadership...

Sky News Arabia corespondent: 6 rockets fired at Baghdad Green zone where US Embassy is located, 1 rocket landed outside of the Green zone and hit a civilian home causing injuries and damage

mam of Peace / Pray for Peace... @Imamofpeace · #URGENT: IRAQ TV: A soldier and two military contractors have been killed in an attack on an American base. (Could be the same attack on the green zone or another attack elsewhere.) More news coming. Please, pray for peace! 🤲🏼
To: Dacula
Do we even have anyone in the green zone now? I thought we vacated the embassy. If so,are the Iranians and their proxies just doing this for show for the folks back at home?

They have the ability to actually destroy you before your rounds even land, but that removes their ability to check for collateral damage risks.
I wish they would just say you shoot you loose and anyone near you better run.

Yes we can...but let’s follow OPSEC. We are at war.

I read years ago that the military had a means of computing the origin of mortars.
IF that is correct, can the US do so? Yes.

Counterbattery radar has been a thing since WW2, it’s even automated now. The question is whether counterbattery fire is authorized or in range of our artillery, not whether we can return fire.

I really think it is time to use the tactics of General ShermanGeneral Sherman commanded an army of 60 000 soldiers and his campaign had victory as a goal.
Right now, the US has 5000 or so troops in Iraq, not organized for combat, and their principal function is to serve as targets to prove our "commitment" to the "Iraqi people".
