MORE THAN HALF OF Americans think President Donald Trump's behavior warrants his removal from office and 57% think he's committed an impeachable offense, according to a poll released Friday morning – unwelcome news for a president facing a Senate trial that could begin this month.

The FiveThirtyEight/Ipsos poll reflects a partisan divide over Trump that has been consistent in surveys by a wide variety of pollsters throughout the investigation and December impeachment of the president, with the vast majority of Democrats wanting Trump removed and the overwhelming number of Republicans opposing the action.

He understands confirmation bias much better than polling, stays in business by telling people what they want to believe.
Up through the 1960s, this was the magazine that went into rural areas of the US, and was often quoted by people. My grandfather read it cover to cover and it was his ‘Bible’. Today, I doubt if they have more than 100,000 subscriptions in the US, and I’d regard it as a loser for reference material.

where are these polls conducted? urban/heavy migrants? ‘cause nobody around here thinks Trump should be impeached. They’d rather see about half of congress tarred and feathered instead.

If you dig down in the story, you’ll find only 42% of Americans want Trump removed from office.
Those numbers haven’t appreciably changed since December. The lines of difference remain solid.
A huge disappointment for the Democrat media.

538 is a punditry organization when it comes to politics that tries to claim math justifies their biases.
This poll is is a push poll released to pressure the Turtle to buckle in and conduct the Senate trial on Democrat terms.
As the story itself admits, Democrats haven’t had any success getting Republicans to admit their witnesses.
Just because a poll says people side with that Democrat demand doesn’t mean squat.
Democrats don’t run the Senate.
