WSJ: ‘Demographic Shift’ Helping to Replace Trump’s Base of Support
Breitbart ^ | Jan 3, 2020 | John Binder

A rapid “demographic shift” is helping to replace President Donald Trump’s base of white working-class voters with Democrat supporters, the Wall Street Journal reports.

A report by the Wall Street Journal details how a “demographic shift” — with the help of more than 1.2 million legal immigrants being admitted to the United States every year — is changing the American electorate in favor of Democrats.

Trump’s white working-class base of support, the Journal notes, is expected to decline in population by about 2.3 percent in time for the 2020 presidential election. Still, about 23 million white non-college educated men did not vote in the 2016 presidential election — a pool of untapped support that the Trump campaign could draw on.

It sounds like WSJ is rooting for this, as they typically support unrestrained immigration.

Never understood why Reagan gets a pass just because the democrats got the upper hand. He signed the amnesty.

It isn’t just the Dems who are trying to repopulate the USA w/immigrants ...18 Republican governors are currently petitioning President Trump to send them more immigrants.

(I believe Tucker Carlson sited 19 R-governors last night on his Fox show; however, the linked article has the lower figure.)

White Americans can’t afford to have babies.

“Rodell famously remarked, “There are two things wrong with almost all legal writing. One is its style. The other is its content. That, I think, about covers the ground.” “

Abortion in California too - I don’t think he gets a pass I think even he recognized those as mistakes and they were big ones. I think it has to do with motive and a taking a total account of governor then president Regan’s actions and judging those two doozies in that context.

White Americans can’t afford to have babies.

No, they just think they can't afford to have babies. I've somehow managed to figure out how to have four of them, and leave my wife at home to raise them.

It can be done.

Agreed. The assumption that demographics is everything is only half the story and not the most important. A dynamic society like what the USA has is constantly changing the political landscape.

Wishing it was so will not make it happen. My grandma said, “Wish in one hand and poop in the other and see which one fills up first”.

The “white working class” has been declining my entire life (born in 1976). Large amounts of whites have left the working class for white collar life while many WWC never had enough kids to replace them.

When I was a child, NY and NJ had a much larger white working class than they do now. They weren’t “replaced” so much as they didn’t replace themselves.

On another note, while Asians and Latin Americans may lean Democratic, who knows who their grandkids will vote for?

We've heard about this for years. Yet, now, many polls are showing Trump has more support among Hispanics and blacks than any Republican has had in decades.

It's the economy, stupid! Sound economic policies trump identity politics.

May Ted Kennedy continue to burn in hell for the destruction he wrought upon the the republic.

Kennedy was nothing more than the face of Immigration Act of 1965. He was the frontman for others hiding behind the curtains.

The reason why Cubans tend to vote Republican is that the Cubans who fled to the united state tended to be highly successful land and business owners. Third World migrants overwhelmingly voted Democrat.

with the help of more than 1.2 million legal immigrants

And here we are ignoring the real threat to America while we continue to play war in the Middle East.

And who besides DJT has tried to remedy this mess?

Nada, nobody....both parties are complicit in our demographic destruction.

Trump is appealing to a yuge number of racial minorities. I think another shift is going on that “journalists” can’t or won’t acknowledge.
