Sometimes words come back to haunt you
Since bloodthirsty Iranian Maj. Gen. Qassem Soleimani was killed Thursday in a U.S. military strike ordered by President Donald Trump, let's examine some threatening words Soleimani had for Trump in 2018.
In the below video translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute, Soleimani gave a July 26 speech ripping Trump for "idiotic comments" about Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
Days earlier, Trump tweeted the following in response to threatening words by Rouhani:
What else did Soleimani say in his speech? Soleimani also said Trump speaks to world leaders like a "gambler" and a "bartender" and a "casino manager" and then delivered his threat.
"Not a night goes by when we don't think about you in our sleep," he continued. "Let me tell you, Mr. Trump, the gambler: Know that we are near you, in places that don't come to your mind. We are near you in places that you can't even imagine."
The latter possesses a rather ironic ring today, considering how Soleimani met his sudden, violent end near the Baghdad airport.
"We are a nation of martyrdom," he added. "We are the nation of Imam Hussein. Ask around. We have endured many hardships. Come. We are waiting for you."
He also said Trump "may start the war, but we will be the ones to determine its end."
Soleimani led Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Quds Force, aided terror in the Middle East, and ordered the killing of Americans. The Pentagon said he and his Quds Force were behind the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad earlier this week.
And now pieces of Soleimani are spread around places he cant even imagine
He also said Trump “may start the war, but we will be the ones to determine its end.”
Sorry, Soliemani, you won’t be around to witness its end but perhaps your 72 virgins can provide you some consolation.
The boneless tongue so small and weak,
Can crush and kill declared the Greek.
The tongue destroys a greater horde
the Turk asserts, than does the sword.
The Persian proverb wisely saith
A lengthy tongue - an early death.
Or sometimes takes this form instead,
Don't let your tongue cut off your head.
The tongue can speak a word whose speed
The Arab says outstrips the steed.
While Chinese sages thus impart
The tongue's great storehouse is the heart.
From Hebrew wit the maxim's sprung,
Tho' foot may slip ne'er let the tongue.
The sacred writer crowns the whole,
Who keeps his tongue doth keep his soul.
And, from scripture:
Proverbs 6:17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood,
1 Peter 3:10 For, "Let him who means to love life and see good days Refrain his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking guile.
James 3:5 So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. Behold, how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire!
James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.
“...Know that we are near you, in places that don’t come to your mind. We are near you in places that you can’t even imagine.”
Why does Valerie Jarrett come to mind?
Beat me to it - Karma can be a bitch.
actually I am thinking of Brennan and others in the alphabets
And our tongues are not mentioning impeachment. I’m glad. I needed a break.
Know that we are near you, in places that don’t come to your mind. We are near you in places that you can’t even imagine.”
That part is true. Democrats run DC and the US Capital is just down the street from the WH.
“If you’re gonna shoot, shoot. Don’t talk”
:)
Americans don’t need to chant anything. Trump simply whispers into the phone “ death to Salami” and gets the job done
(from internets)
ValJar, Brennan, Omar, Obama...
We are near you in places that you can’t even imagine.”
Yeah, its true. Hes talking about the Obama holdovers that a are STILL in the damn White House. Drain the swamp!
I love it knowing Soleimani was liquidated in a place he thought he felt at home in. It was the last mistake of his life.
Dont push us. You will live to regret it. Japanese admiral Yamamoto was take out by us after he woke us up.
This isnt the work of a military genius for sure.
I see what you did there... :)
The constant use of the words “terror” and “terrorist” have blinded us to reality.
We don’t have a “war on terror”. We have a war with Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan that we are afraid to declare or to fight.
The Iranian general we killed in Baghdad was an enemy soldier in uniform present in Iraq to make war on the United States. Killing him, and especially in such a public and dramatic way, WAS an act of war, one of many.
Now, all this “terror” foolishness has not increased our understanding nor has it improved our chances of success.
If it were up to me, I would withdraw all American forces from their currently exposed and difficult to defend forward positions in Dar-al-Islam, and not have a single soldier or Marine return without an 80 division Expeditionary Force sent by Congress after a Declaration of War to conquer our enemies and reform their societies.
And I would take the impossibility of such action by the representatives of the people and the States as a sign that we should stay the hell away from Dar-al-Islam altogether.
But stop calling enemy soldiers “terrorists”. Call them what they are - maybe that will help our people think productively about what to do about them.
“We are a nation of martyrdom,” he added. “We are the nation of Imam Hussein. Ask around. We have endured many hardships. Come. We are waiting for you.”
Not any more.
As does Obama, Brennan, Kerry.
Why are they mourning? I thought they loved death more than life?
Apparently not after the infidel Americans could take them out without warning.
Not so much fun when you cant even prepare for martyrdom.
No 72 virgins for Soleimani and his ilk. He couldnt even die for Allah!
By all means, do bring it on.
